Hello there ! I usually stumble on a lot of weird or niche stuff while doing research for my Anilist moderation work, but it usually ended up in a fav folder on my browser that would never be opened. It's better if it can be shared tho, so I decided to dig up one per week, and to make a post every Wednesday. Here is the first one !

Manga of the day : Takokichi no Sanpo, Kennosuke Niizeki (1947)

This manga wasn't pre-published in any magazines, at least from the information I could gather on the internets.

This is a very short full color story (12 p) about a bored kid squid that wants to play with his friend, a quite girly cuttlefish. However, the bottom of the ocean is a dangerous place, and not everything goes as planned !

It is very clearly aimed at children, considering the contents and the language used : no kanjis + very simple vocabulary. It is available for free on the Japanese National Library Webdatabase - please take a look if you are curious ! If you like tracking stuff, it also has an Anilist page.

hopefully you’ll love tokusatsu and SIC Takumi Damashii in general... they’re these amazingly detailed 3 inch trading figure.. that looks like a statue in today’s standard... but obviously very cheap back then... what not to love...

this Inazuman is a proof of how SIC Takumi Damashii line can be considered as a legend... look at those amazing details...
