@mysteryprof This lovely part-albino cornsnake is Showglass! She's about 13 years old, approximately 4 feet in length, eats every 2-3 weeks, and generally is a well behaved noodle.
Except... when she gets upset... that's when I get bit... which is happening more often now cause she's older. My dad is like "you shouldn't hold her blah blah blah" and I'm like "bUt THe nOODle nEEds tEh loVe!!!"
But be not afraid! Like any pet, you should always get the animal used to being held by humans. I honestly slacked off on that a few years ago which may be why my snoot can be a bit snippy.
As for food, we've always ordered freeze-dried white feeder mice in pack of 100. And then got to play with the dry ice that came inside the box.
Corn snakes are really good reptiles for beginners, and can live at least double their natural lifespan in captivity!! I got Showglass when she was about one year old from an older couple who raised reptiles to take to farmers' markets.
I actually met them their when I was really young and my mom has pictures of me with corns draped around my neck. Ahhh memories...
I distinctly remember that couples house had at least 70 snakes in it. I counted... yeah...
Anyway, that's my noodle!!!
