#showusyourmedia #dinawakleymedia #rangerink "Where have you been?" I'm having a pretty difficult time talking or thinking about my past with the recent loss of my dad. Everywhere I've ever been so far in my life, my dad has been with me, even when we were apart. This amount of apart however is really doing a number on me. I used DWM paints (magenta/peacock), collage papers, scribble sticks, and stamps. I'm so inspired by @dinawakley and am so thankful to have art as an outlet. You've taught me so much. ❤️

#showusyourmedia challenge 10!! Theme for this one is rest. These days, I really struggle to be able to just really rest. I have a hard time sleeping lately, when I do sleep I'm having terrible, vivid dreams. Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and just feel wide awake even though I'm exhausted. I've been trying to really take care of myself knowing the level of anxiety and stress I'm under. Arting out is a life saver at this point. ❤️ #dinawakleymedia #rangerink

#showusyourmedia challenge 9: Create a piece of art about who you want to be.  I just want to be the best person I can be. I want to be loyal, strong, honest, happy and at peace with who I am. I want to accept the things I cannot change. It's a daily struggle. I want to make my dad proud and take good care of my wonderful husband. Paints: fuscia, olive, blackberry and marine. Stencils: swirling dashes and grande arrow. Stamps: text and scribbles and scribbly birds. I also used collage papers and washi tape. These pages were made in the original dwm journal on watercolor pages. #rangerink #dinawakleymedia #artjournaling

New journal layout for the #rangerink #showusyourmedia challenge 8: live in the moment. I've been reminding myself almost daily to live in the moment. Don't stay in the past, and don't worry too far into the future. Even when things feel impossible and just too hard, keep going. I used a watercolor page and a canvas page in my DWM journal. The paints used are DWM turquoise, magenta, lemon, and night. It's interesting to see how the colors turn out on this different surfaces side by side. Stamps used are from text and scribbles, contour figures, and love rocks. The stencil is swirling dashes. #dinawakelymedia #dinawakley
