I am filled with gratitude that the Rev. Chili Cilch share her knowledge of the remarkable Harbor Breakfast restaurant a couple years back. The restaurant has never disappointed when it comes to service and amazing breakfast options. This morning I ambled down from La Pensione to the restaurant full of anticipation of a tasty breakfast I would find there. I settled on the “Shrimp Diablo” with 3 Eggs scrambled with Smoked Bacon, Green Onions and Roasted Red Bell Peppers topped with 3 seasoned Jumbo Shrimp and Guajillo Salsa with a side of gravy to go with the biscuit. I kept it simple with a drip coffee and real cream. This was maximum comfort with a twist. Those fat spicy shrimp were TDF. The biscuit and gravy was like a Deep South hug. You're either going to think I'm a mastermind chef or say, "Giiirrrlll, I already knew this!" 🤷🏼‍♀️ So a couple days ago and a few posts back I made a roasted, chunky, spicy tomato soup. I've been canning like crazy and needed dinner for one tonight, something easy. I had one serving of rigatoni noodles that needed to be used up in the pantry so I decided on pasta, but what kind was the question. Well, my spicy tomato soup isn't far off from a diablo sauce. I thawed some shrimp and spinach I have in the freezer, boiled my noodles and added the spinach, soup/sauce and a little parmesan cheese. Cooked my shrimp in evoo, with paprika, s&p and garlic and dinner was done in like 15 minutes! Success! 🙌🏻 #shelftember #food #cooking #dinner #foodie #shrimp #pasta #leftovers #shrimpdiablo
