shuichi adjusted his sleeves, his greyish yellow eyes held the nervousness he felt every time he wanted to tutoring. it wasn’t that he didn’t like celestia, actually, it was the opposite, they got along well. she helped him with his struggles towards calculating probability and his... anxiety when it came to taking certain risks. unlike his other upperclassmen, kirigiri-- who he looked up to, he felt unworthy of the title ultimate detective despite the fact he technically did earn it at a young age by solving cases with his uncle.
but his mind was also on other things... unconsciously he scratched at his forearm, it was itchy-- figuratively. shuichi had this habit of writing silly things on his arm, things his soulmate would see and probably either be amused or find ridiculous. the detective was rather reserved, so the playful side only came out every so often.
.stop, he should focus on tutoring, his upperclassman was doing him a huge favor.
“celestia,” he uttered with a smile and notebook in hand, “i’m sorry, was i late for the tutoring?”
