Mysterious is how Birdie would describe her. Shuffle would describe her as "withdrawn." Cindy would describe her as cold-hearted. But was that accurate? She was always cold, cruel, and strict, but she was never mysterious. She didn't like her, that much was obvious. She'd always wondered how Birdie and Chaos managed to gain her respect. Cindy had a crush on Birdie, and he seemed to have a crush on her.
"Cindy." When she heard the object of her jealousy's voice, she jumped and jolted out of her thoughts. Nurse is tying up her ruby hair as she turned around. "What are you up to?" Nurse inquired as she fixed her gaze on her with a neutral expression. She despised it. She was perplexed as to how someone like her, who was so neutral, cruel, and harsh, could win Birdie's heart.
"Uh... Reading." She explained away as she quickly close the book in her hands. She crosses her arms and places her tongue against the back of her mouth.
"Clearly..." Nurse sat up and walked over. As she leaned down, Cindy tensed. She admitted to herself that she was attractive, and she despised it. In her presence, the pit in her stomach grew larger. She was nothing but gracious to her, however her jealousy was too strong. "Make sure you drink and eat..." Nurse sat up and began to walk away. It was as if an enraged surge had engulfed her. She always acted this way. She despised it. She wasn't her mother. She was her romantic rival.
"You know what!" Cindy yelled and stood up. Nurse moves her gaze to her. Her eyes are fixed on her, and she goes off on her. She told her about every issue she was having with her. She began to complain about how her voice bothered her (though she didn't like Glass's voice), how annoying she was, how worthless she was, and she began to discuss her job.
"Cindy-" Nurse tried to warn her, but Cindy refused to listen.
"It's no surprise that so many patients died in your care!" Cindy snapped, putting the final nail in the coffin. When she looked at the normally composed woman, Nurse looked extremely hurt, regretful, and deeply upset. Cindy, despite it all, felt satisfied. She didn't care if Nurse started sobbing there. It's not like she gave a damn about the woman.
"You... I..." Nurse took a step back, gripping her chest. Nurse began to reflect on all of her deceased patients. Her heart began to ache as tears welled up in her eyes. Cindy appeared to be pleased with herself, so she backed up. Nurse averted her gaze.
"You should be sorry for all those people you failed!" Cindy said this with a hostile tone. Nurse clutched her chest and bit her lower lip, attempting to keep tears at bay.
"Fine. I'm sorry." Nurse apologized. She walked back to her room. She slammed the door as she noticed the house trembling slightly from the force. She collapsed to her knees and curled up. She pressed her face into her knees, finally letting her sadness show. She began to sob quietly in her knees.
Cindy was pleased with herself, but she didn't notice the bittysized anon who had been listening the entire time. Glass clenched their fists and scowled at Cindy. Glass immediately went in search of the anons with whom they needed to speak.

Chaos was out with Birdie and Shuffle. Shuffle was out shopping for Spidele. Birdie was busy flirting with Chaos, and Chaos was returning the favor. Glass flew furiously towards Chaos, slamming their face against Birdie's wing. Birdie reacted immediately by catching the small butterfly.
"Woah! Glass, you okay? You're not broken, right?" Birdie joked and Glass huffed. They laid back on their hand and panted.
"Yeah. I'm fine, but-!" Glass shouts and Chaos laughs.
"Pfft. How did you not break on impact?" Chaos teased and Shuffle snorted slightly.
"That's unrelated. Listen-!" Glass protested again. Shuffle opened their mouth to say something when Glass shouted. "CINDY MADE NURSE CRY!"
Now THAT got the trio's attention.
"Nurse? Cry? Are you telling the truth...?" Shuffle inquired. They had a worried undertone to them. Birdie shook his head slightly as Glass nodded.
"Cindy? You mean my friend, Cindy? Made Nurse cry? Pardon me... But she wouldn't..." Birdie stated. Chaos crossed his arms as Birdie sighed. Sure, he and Nurse weren't best friends, but if Cindy upset her and caused her to cry, she said something very hurtful.
"We should go home and check..." Shuffle suggested and Chaos nodded. Birdie nodded as well and they made their way back home.

Nurse didn't greet them or was not in the living room when they arrived home. Chaos sensed something was wrong. Where had his nagging rival gone? She always comes by to say hello and threaten him with his name.
"Birdie!!" Cindy cheerfully said. She hugged his waist and he blinked at her. Angelbird immediately flew past him to Nurse's room.
"Cindy, where's Nurse?" Birdie asked and Cindy huffed in annoyance.
"Being loud in her room..." Cindy sighed, and Chaos pushed past her to follow Angelbird. As he approached her room, he noticed some minor cracks around the door. When Chaos got close enough, he could hear soft crying from the other side. At the sound of it, he tensed up.
"Nurse?" Chaos spoke quietly. The crying had become more subdued, and it sounded as if Nurse was repressing them.
"Y-Yeah?" Nurse called back. Her voice was full of tears, but she was masking them with her monotone tone. He'd seen Nurse at her worst and best. But he'd never seen or heard her cry before. He used to believe she couldn't cry.
"I'm coming in..." Chaos responded by turning the knob. It was open, and he walked in slowly. When he looked around, his gaze was drawn to Nurse's huddled form near a corner. She pressed her face against her knees. He knelt down slowly and looked at her. She raises her head, tears streaking and staining her face.
"Pfft... You look worse then me when I bathe." Chaos attempted to make a joke. Nurse gave a small chuckle at this. "Did Cindy say anything to you?" Chaos inquired as Angelbird nuzzled her cheek. She snorted and curled up even more. She gave a brief explanation before revealing the ending. He slightly clenched his fists.
"It's dumb. I know..." Nurse simply stated and Chaos sighed.
"It wasn't your fault." Chaos stated simply, and Nurse simply let go. She burst into tears again and sobbed into her knees. He gently touched her shoulder and encouraged her to express herself. Nurse hugged him and he hugged back. She tried not to cry into his shirt or shoulder. Her hair was down and she had changed earlier. But he knew that Cindy was out of line... But he'd worry about her later.
And he knows he won't leave Nurse live this down.
