YES. The minute he stops being predictable, JGY would have alarm bells going off--dunno how many loops in that would be but eventually he would just start...doing things. Because that’s what trapped people do. Depending on where the loop starts from, it might just be Xichen quietly doing as he’s told and not trying to reason with him at all that makes JGY stop and go, ‘...What’s going on.’ Guaranteed to have some very fascinating conversations--spicy, horrible, depressing, angry, painful conversations. Over and over again.

Hey! Hope you're well in these difficult times. I'm looking for a fic written years ago I saw on your blog, one where Sif is seeing Loki everywhere after his death, (even in battle) and visits him while he's a prisoner. Have a nice day!

Oh, hmmm. I don’t read a lot of Sif fic. (I am very picky about my Sif characterization.) 

I don’t remember one where Sif is seeing Loki after his death - I definitely have a couple of her grieving him (A Valediction Forbidding Mourning and a few ghosts of timorous heart); there’s also Constancy which is just about her wrestling with whether or not to visit him when he’s a prisoner (she ends up doing it). Maybe one of those is what you’re thinking of? Or some combination of a couple?

I love your gem analysis. They're awesome. As for the reason why Adamant never taught music to the gems, first I thought it was something super angsty, like maybe they taught red diamond and the cutie was taken while they were distracted practicing or smth like- but I guess sensei never teach the arts either. Maybe they weren't programmed to know and you can't teach what you don't know? (and yet the school was made by sensei's hand and it's is beautiful)

ty! it could be. maybe it has something to do with sensei being a machine, maybe he can’t understand art. the gems never invented art on their own, except maybe for red beryl, so maybe neither of them is particularly attuned to it

tbh i don’t know.. i working on ideas for their past, but it’s still a work in progress. but! yes, i do think they were stationed all over the world in 6000 years.

I just found your (incredible!) Euclase analysis and I wanted to thank u for writing and sharing. I wonder if your opinion on them changed with recent chapters or if it's too soon to tell? What i really wanna ask u is: do you feel like bobo the fool or nah

Glad you liked it.  (Seriously my self-esteem goes up by 50 points every time someone says something nice about my writing.)  And yeah, it doesn’t seem like my ideas about the character panned out.  If you check out my essay for chapters 78-79, you’ll note that I did indeed make a booboo the fool joke regarding this very topic.

I’ve been taking a break from hnk the past couple months on account of the fact that hyperfocusing on an ultra-depressing work for two years straight wasn’t exactly ideal for my mental health.  That said, I’m hoping to get back into it soon.  A gut-punch of this caliber doesn’t come by very often.
