Welcoming Shvat with Love, Unity, and Hope 💙
Today is Alef in Shvat, the beginning of a new Hebrew month — a time of renewal and growth.
Shvat is the month when the sap begins to rise in the trees, hinting at the first signs of life after winter.
It’s a reminder that even in the coldest, hardest seasons, life continues, and renewal is always on the horizon.
This month, we are witnessing something even more powerful — the return of hostages to their families.
The love of parents, siblings, and children, the unwavering embrace of an entire nation, and the outpouring of support from communities and allies worldwide — it’s overwhelming in the best way. And none of this would have been possible without the incredible support of the U.S., standing firmly beside Israel.
And while it’s not part of the Hebrew calendar, Valentine’s Day also falls in Shvat this year.
And when it comes to celebrating love — whether it’s the love of family, the love of a nation, or simply the love that makes life meaningful — I say, the more, the merrier.
May this month bring more reunions, more hope, and more love — for all of us 💙
