“Hey Eirian come here for a second, do you want my dessert from dinner?” Cass stretched out and yawned. Unlike his younger brother Cass was just kind of luke-warm to sweets having been spoiled FAR too much with them by their mother as a child. Not to mention it was pretty obvious his brother got more enjoyment out of them than he did for some reason. Still that wasn’t his motive today, no this wasn’t a standard interaction oh no...this was a bribe. He loved his brother but today he’d seen something that the older teen did NOT want to get out no matter what, especially not to their mother.
Well not exactly a bribe since he had already handed it over before naming his terms, more like...social lubrication for a favor. He knew Eirian had seen him swipe that trinket at the market today and the last thing he wanted was their dad or especially their mom finding out.
“So...hey you’re not going to mention that thing I did while we were shopping today to mom and dad are you?”
On a Sunny Tuesday Afternoon, the Late Sunlight Glowing in your Hair
(Okay so I really don't ship this but I guess it works and for the people that do I’m sure it’s great to find a little more.)
They met there in secret.
The meetings themselves weren’t really a secret at all, just the place and the meaning. Of course Danny told his friends that Jazz had insisted on holding his ‘sessions’ in a place he found comfortable, rolling his eyes with an annoyed tone. What would they say if they knew?
Certainly nothing kind.
It was true, though, that Jazz and Danny found the little hidden clearing to be a relaxing place, and they really did talk about their problems there. That wasn’t the main use for their time alone, however.
Danny placed a gentle kiss to Jazz’s soft lips as she ran one hand through his rat’s nest of a hairstyle. Leaning back against a thicker tree trunk, their favorite spot to sit, Danny brushed a fiery lock of his lover’s long hair behind her ear.
“Do it,” Jazz murmured breathlessly, face red, “Change and kiss me.”
Danny obliged, shifting into his ghostly form with but a thought. Without another word, the two locked lips again. Jazz shivered in pleasure at the thrilling cold Phantom gave off, deepening the kiss with a quiet moan of pleasure. Only when they were both out of breath and getting out of hand did Danny pull away.
“We can’t,” He told her in a soft tone. He wanted more, he knew she did too, but as things were...
Jazz nodded her agreement, “No, we can’t. Not yet.”
The two sat in the fading light of the setting sun, no words spoken but a million understood. That silence spoke of a dreamed-up future in a faraway place where no one knew their names, where they could be happy and free and together.
“Jazz,” Danny said after a while, catching her attention.
“What is it?” She asked, taking in every detail of the boy she loved. The orange light shone through the nearly transparent strands of his hair, making it glint with countless shades of every color she knew. His own spectral glow was accentuated by the lighting, making him seem even more youthful the he truly was.
He was beautiful, as much as she knew he hated to be called such.
“I love you,” came the whispered answer, a small smile stretching over his lightly freckled face.
Jazz scooped him up in a hug, “I love you too, Danny. I love you too.
