So irl the past few days I have had three migraines, with aura, three days in a row

I am diagnosed with chronic migraines but this takes the cake, even for me.

I very rarely get aura with my migraines and it was just a whole other level of wiped out. I couldn’t see properly, vision still feels a bit off even now a day later. I had the whole classic can’t tolerate lights part that again, I don’t tend to get with most of my migraines

THREE DAYS IN A ROW

Three days in a row with this shit just landing me in bed every time it happens. I even had to take my anti sickness medication as I wasn’t absorbing my migraine meds :’)

I’m super drained today and also hella paranoid that it’s gonna happen again, because if it does, four aura in four days probably warrants getting checked out and I REALLY don’t want that. I nearly went to the hospital last night but was freaking out having a panic attack (which was probably part of the aura tbh) and was adamant that although I was terrified I was dying, I was more terrified of having to spend the night in the ER

I actually have a theory that a weird reaction to some meds I was taking for stomach issues has caused this. I started taking them the day before the first migraine and didn’t take any yesterday but still got a migraine anyway… but it’s possible it’s taking that long to be absorbed and therefore staying in my system so it’s like delayed by one day? I’m hoping that’s the case, as ngl im a little scared. If I’m right and it’s the meds, I haven’t taken any more so hopefully I should be good now

So if I can’t take the meds for the stomach issues, I have to resort to home remedies instead 😭 which ngl, I don’t think the meds even worked anyway because I STILL have stomach issues on top of all this bs 😭 and sitting here with my pathetic little home remedies is kinda pathetic

The hilarious thing is, the stomach issues that I was taking these meds for (that may be causing the aura migraines) were CAUSED by my preventative migraine medication 🤣🤣🤣 My brain is still not working at full capacity so I might even have to draw a visual on how fucking nuts that is

Migraines > migraine meds > stomach issues > stomach meds > more migraines 😭

Anyway. This whole thing is such a classic fucking sickfic coded mess I had to share it here

When the loud character with a powerful voice has a sore throat and can barely speak.

When the bold, silly, wisecracking character is reduced to gagging and hiccupping over the toilet.

When the character with an immune system of cast iron is blatantly ill but refuses to admit it because they have a reputation to uphold. (”Ib not *sniffle* sick! I never get s-sick’’   “ Character, your nose looks like a tomato.”   “Seasonal allergies, that’s all!”)

When the weakest/youngest doesn’t tell others about their illness/injury because they don’t want to be a burden.

When the insomniac character is shaking with exhaustion but still refuses to rest because they ‘have more important things to do’
