Was doodling and then I thought of a hc where Xaio takes his kids and Shanyao to visit his pack's grave and tell stories about them.

Oh definitely, Xiao takes Shanyao to his old home to purpose. (Macaque actually decided to give him the area after Shanyao started really jabbing it in that either Shan was going fight him for it or stop taking to him)

Xiao was surprised to find his family had tombstones since he'd buried them by himself with stick crosses and their names on paper.

A certain set of monkeys went to give them proper graves
