Uh so, my friend/one of my adoptive Discord fathers @ducky-dawn47 got me inspired to do a rewrite of their AU. I just added my OC Yue (Mk's twin sister) and her boyfriend (Kai, the son of Kui Mulang)

Some ref sheets for some characters i decided to finally finish lol
in order; Buddy's redesign. as much as i loved the other design I wanted to give him a design thats more "unique" lol (it was too simple for me anyway)
Then there's Rumble and Savage! defo wanted to redesign them as well as giving them their own looks so you can easily tell who is who other than their ears
Then there's Kai and Mr Li, who's designs were loooong overdue (like. over 2 years due). Kai has his signature jacket for the "Golden Kitsune's" (a group he made) and I thought tattoos would suit him lol
Mr Li goes through a few changes in his years lol, the major one being when he mistreats another character to the point they've had enough (it tooootally wasnt Buddy lol whaddaya mean?). Almost died but managed to save himself by mutating himself with whatever he could get his hands on. After that he goes through a sort of redemption arc of some kind lol (who knew being treated poorly by your former peers cuz youre no longer seen as human could change a man?)
So here’s Kai and Ember. Baby kai is a big baby he was 10 pounds when he was born. Thus Ember was a bit confused because she’d only seen small babies his age.
It was a Saturday afternoon as Tang finished filling up sippy cups. They were watching Ember, baby Xiaoyun and little kai soon so Tang was getting prepared.
They'd only baby sat Kai before since Red son was worried Ember unlock her powers and burning the shop down. However they were out of opinions. Red's parents were busy and so was Wukong. So Tang and Pigsy where the only option.
"you have lunch ready dumpling?" Tang asked as he finished with the sippy cups and checked the time.
"almost done just getting kai's bowl cooled off. He's adorable but he really needs to learn about chopsticks" Pigsy grumbled as he pulled the pup's bowl out of the freezer.
"well he's three and they still have to use the paw mittens if he gets itchy. Shanyao did say they've started using forks" Tang reminded him before hearing someone enter the shop," that must be Red I'll be back"
"now remember Ember if baby brother gets fussy you can't tell him to shut up he's a baby" Red son said as he set Xiaoyun's carrier down to fix her bow,"and no fires alright? Or turning into other animals got it?"
"okay Daddy" Ember said as Tang came to the front of the shop,"Hi grandpa!"
"hi Ember pops just finished making lunch if you're hungry" Tang said as he swatted down so she could give him a hug. Ember ran into his arms and gave him a huge hug.
"hello Baba Tang. I have a few bottles made for Xiaoyun and I wrote his schedule down" Red son said after the hug ended and Ember went to hug her pops.
"alright thank you, does he do tummy time yet or not?" Tang asked as he walked over and took Xiaoyun out of the carrier. Xiaoyun wasn't phased and just sucked on his pacifier.
"no not yet. He's getting over a stomach bug. I should be back at five to get them. I packed some extra clothes in the diaper bag for both of them if there's accidents. Ember's been having issues." Red son said as he put the diaper bag on the table. Kai ran in at the same moment.
"Unclie Red!" Kai yelled as he ran over and hugged Red son's leg. The demon chuckled and picked him up as Xiao walked in.
"hey you two" Xiao said as he went to put kai's backpack upstairs,"I'll be right back"
"how long are you staying Kai?" Red son asked the pup surprised that Xiao was putting the backpack upstairs. Ember and Xiaoyun were only going to be here for three hours.
"I's be here for 2 weeks!" Kai said as he clapped his hands.
"Glow stone's stay at the hospital got extended so baba offered to keep Kai here so he wasn't in the hospital room." Xiao said as he took Kai from Red son," we would have asked you and Mk but we figured with Xiaoyun being premature you guys had your hands full."
"I'm sorry mutt I wasn't aware Sick boy's condition got worse. Are they going to be alright?"
"doctor's hoping for the girls to wait a little longer before he preforms the C-section. Their heartbeats are stable at the moment" Xiao said as he kissed Kai's forehead,"sorry just been busy getting everything ready I forgot to update everyone. Now Kai you be good for grandpa and pops okay? No marking your territory you use the potty alright?"
"me be a big boy!" Kai said as he wagged his tail,"tell baba I be big boy for grandpa!"
"I will my little wolf" Xiao said as he put Kai down," I'll see you in two weekends if everything goes well. Tang if he needs anything here's the house keys"
"alright tell shanny to hang in there" Tang said as he took Xiao's house keys. Xiao nodded before he walked out and Kai went to the living room.
"if you need a break from Kai call us we'd be more than willing to take him for a couple days"Red son said before he kissed Xiaoyun's forehead," good bye for now"

"pops I gotta potty" Kai said as he pulled on Pigsy's sleeve. Pigsy got up and stretched.
"alright let's get you to the bathroom kiddo" Pigsy said as he walked Kai out of the living room.
"grandpa why does Kai need help going potty?" Ember asked as she stopped coloring. She was curious on why her cousin couldn't go by himself.
"well sweetie Kai doesn't have the same skills that you do. He has some hand issues" Tang explained as he held up his hand flexed it out and closed for emphasis," he doesn't have as much movement in his hands yet."
"oh... Why?" Ember asked as she sat up and looked at Tang. Tang sighed and looked at Xiaoyun who was asleep on his chest.
"well look at baby brother's hand. See how his fingers are chubby and he can only grab things loosely?" Tang said as he lifted up the baby's hand. Ember nodded her full attention on her brother's hands as Tang continued," well that's because of the muscles in his hands not being ready to do anything else."
"and and Kai's hands like Xiaoyun's hands?" Ember asked as she got up and took a closer look at her little brother's hands. Trying to comprehend what Tang was explaining.
"somewhat yes. So he needs help with certain things like going potty. It's also why he doesn't use chopsticks yet" Tang said with a smile as Ember lit up once she got her answer.
"cans cans we help Kai with he's hands grandpa? Cans we?!" Ember asked eagerly, basically vibrating with excitement at the idea. It was a very sweet gesture.
"well your uncles are working with him on but I bet they'd be very happy if helped him make a card for his Baba" Tang said as he slowly got up as to not wake up Xiaoyun. He pulled out some nice paper and Kai's crayons. Ember was a bit of ahead of Kai because of Red son's efforts to get her ready for kindergarten. So the little girl knew her ABCs and how to write.
"oh yeah! That make Unclie Shan really happy!" Ember said as she set up the area for when Kai came back.
A great activity for a couple minutes.
When Kai came back Ember went into great detail on how to hold his crayon to write inside of color. She also offered a message that he could write in the card but it made him a bit upset.
"my Baba not going die! He not! He not going die!" Kai said in tears as he threw the crayon at and got up. Pigsy got back up and picked up Kai as he started crying.
"I know you didn't mean anything bad by it Ember but I don't think I'm happy you're not dead is something to put on the card sweetheart" Pigsy said as he rubbed the pup's back. Ember frowned and rubbed her shoulder. She didn't mean to get Kai upset. She thought it was a good thing to say but apparently she was wrong. Now Kai was crying and grandpa was probably calling daddy.
"hey is Shanyao awake. Kai is a bit upset because of some miscommunication" Tang asked Xiao over the phone.
"give us just a minute then I'll start a video call" Shanyao said as he was the one who answered," Fluffy handed me my hair brush"
"baba not gonna die! He at doctor's so he don't die!" Kai cried out as he unintentionally clawed his pops. Pigsy thankfully had thick skin so the toddler wasn't hurting him much.
"shhh I know puppy. Pops knows yer Baba's not going to die." Pigsy said as he bounced the pup. Within less than two minutes Shanyao started the video call.
"Kai baby boy it's okay" Shanyao said as Tang handed the phone to the crying pup," Baba and your sisters are okay. No need to cry my love."
"embers say you'd die!" Kai said as he sniffled.
"I didn't means it like that! I really didn't Unclie Shan!" Ember said as she tried to defend herself.
"hey hey shhh it's okay. I know me being in the hospital is scary baby but I'm going to be okay. Ember didn't mean I'd die. I'm going to be just fine Kai I promise" Shanyao said as Kai wiped his eyes. Kai now wanted his Baba more than anything.
"don't cry I wasn't trying to make you upset Kai! I sorry!" Ember said as she petted his tail since she couldn't reach his head.
" should I come get him for a little bit Baba?" Xiao asked as he went to grab his coat,"so he can take a N-A-P with glow stone to cool down?"
"yeah I think so"

"I didn't mean to make Kai upset Daddy! It was an accidents." Ember said as she ran over and hugged Red son when he entered. He picked her up and looked over at Tang. As if to ask quietly what happened.
"they were going to make a card for Shanyao and her message suggestion set Kai off. She didn't mean anything by it but Kai got really upset" Tang said as he brought Xiaoyun in his carrier over,"maybe work on get well soon messages with her."
"what did you suggest darling?" Red son asked as he rubbed Ember's back. He wasn't mad at her just concerned what she had suggested.
"I said we should write we happy you're not dead. I thoughts it was nice! I didn't mean it bad Daddy I promise!" Ember said as she started to tear up. Red son kissed her forehead reassuringly.
"I know baby girl but next time don't think like grandfather when it comes to cards okay? Think like Baba. A better message would be we love you Uncle Shanyao get well soon."
"Oh okays. Am I in trouble?" Ember asked as Mk came in back Red son to get Xiaoyun.
"no no you already apologize to Kai and it was a misunderstanding." Red son said as he kissed her forehead again," what about we make Kai and uncle Shanyao a card when we get home so Baba can help with the messages"
"okay bye bye grandpa bye bye pops"
"bye Ember" Tang and Pigsy said in unison as the four left the shop. Leaving it nearly empty once more.
They'd never admit it but they missed having family in the shop. Even if they'd have Kai for two weeks once he calmed down it didn't really fill the void. The two were debating on having another kid with the fact they were both in their late forties.
How would the others react? Were they foolish for waiting this long to talk about having another kid? Had they waited too long? All questions the two were discussing privately. After all they didn't want to get anyone's hopes up if it went no where.
To say Shanyao and Mk weren't over the moon to meet baby Congee about six months later was an understatement though.
It was a fall afternoon as Shanyao and Xiao laid on the couch. The wolf demon fighting off sleep as he listened to the little heartbeat of their Lil chonky one in the oven. Both 20 somethings were just being lazy today after a weekend of stress.
Xiao didn't even have a glamour on, he was being that last. To be fair their weekend involved not one, not two but five fucking almost starts or something.
So both decided for the safety of their pup on the way and sanity. They were just going to stay home and have a lazy day. Shanyao had already sent everyone a group text that stated the following.
[SickCarmel45: everyone please don't message me or Xiao today. We are both exhausted and are taking the day off. If anything happens we'll let you know]
Thankfully the only protest was unsurprisingly from Pigsy. He didn't want Shanyao being too lazy since the baby was so chonky. Multiple ultrasound pictures having been shoved in his face before he finally realized that there was only one pup.
"Yes I know pup you're not used to dad's muzzle are you?" Xiao said softly as the pup kicked, Xiao's tail wagging as they responded to him. Shanyao smiled softly as he rubbed right behind his partner's ear to get the wolf's attention.
"hey I just wanted to remind you, you're adorable and I love you" Shanyao said with a sweet tired tone in his voice. Xiao smiled even more as he lightly pushed himself up and gave Shanyao a kiss. His tail was basically a fan at this point.
" I love you too glowstone" Xiao said as he received another scratch behind his right ear . After everything that had happened, it was fantastic to just be a bit lazy before their pup decided to finally make his entrance to the world. Which Xiao hoped wouldn't be for another few days.
Yeah, yeah he'd rather Shanyao be a few say past his due date than early. Even though everyone else other than his beloved shine was already waiting for the pup at this point. Tang even talking to firefly about induction a few weeks ago. They didn't need that, Shanyao and the pup were doing just fine.
"and we love you too pup" Xiao said as he then gave the bump a kiss which made Shanyao giggle.
"I'm sure they won't forget we love them puppy"
"well I just wanted to remind them."

Another lazy day, but this time with their little baby Kai. The pup was currently yawning after getting his fill the good stuff. Shanyao kissing the 4 week old's forehead as he lightly patted the pup's back.
"my goodness such a mighty yawn Kai" Xiao teased as he put some pillows behind Shanyao's back. Kai ignored him, and chose to instead nuzzle into his Baba's chest.
"yes I think our little sweet pup is finally going to nap" Shanyao said as Xiao carefully got into bed and laid with them,"he's just been lazing around today with me"
"well a nap sounds good to me as well my little wolf monkey. Daddy's gonna join you and Baba" Xiao said as Shanyao slowly nuzzled himself and their pup into Xiao's chest.
