9. Baking a cake turns into a flour fight
As stated before, baking is infinitely easier than cooking.. for Takane, at least.
So when Haruka was complaining about being hungry, with no food currently in the house, she'd been at a bit of a loss. The whining didn't cease though, not until she'd gotten up and dragged the taller male into the kitchen to show him that no, they didn't have any food. (Not until later at least.)
And she leaned against the counter as Haruka searched and searched, gathering up ingredient after ingredient as Takane watched with narrowed eyes. That looked like--
"Let's make a cake together, then!"
If she said no it would only result in more whines and complaints and.. ugh. Takane's hands lift in defeat and she agrees, making sure they at least put on aprons before they ended up ruining their clothes. Starting off was definitely easy enough, despite it being messy.
Small, flour covered hands were busy with batter as Haruka peered around her from all angles.. until it was put into a pan and slid into the oven with complaints about not having enough personal space from the short brunette.
"You have to wait for it to bake, can you do that at least?"
"Ah! Of course! Takane worked so hard to make it, so I can wait!"
Haruka's own flour covered hands lifted as well, pressing against Takane's cheeks without thought before it clicked and he realized what he'd done. Takane's cheeks were bright red beneath the flour hand prints and it took a moment for her to react-- her own hands lifting to smush Haruka's cheeks together with a whine of regret from the taller male.
"I didn't mean to! I forgot! Takane stooooop.."
Cleaning all of this up was going to take forever.
