Siddhidhatri is the ninth and final form of the Hindu mother goddess Mahadevi, worshipped on the ninth day of Navaratri. Her name means "giver of supernatural power or meditative ability". According to legend, Siddhidhatri appeared before two sages, who had been meditating and worshipping her for years, and granted them their wishes. She is believed to possess eight supernatural powers, or siddhis, including the ability to reduce one's body to the size of an atom, expand one's body to an infinitely large size, become infinitely heavy, and become weightless. Siddhidhatri is also associated with Lord Shiva, and it is believed that one side of his body is that of Goddess Siddhidhatri. Her story showcases the divine powers and grace of the goddess, inspiring us to seek her blessings.

9th (finale) night of #Navratri, & we celebrate #Goddess #Siddhidhatri 🌼.

After #Kushmanda as the cosmic egg created the Universe, primary energies & #Trimurti, #LordShiva asked her to bestow upon him the 18 perfections.

To perform this task, Kushmanda created Siddhidhatri, as Siddhi means perfections, supernatural powers, or meditative abilities, & Dhatri means giver or awarder.

It was then up to #LordBrahma to create & populate our world; but he needed help in this as at that time there were no men or women.

In response, Siddhidhatri, became 1 half of #LordShiva ’s body, (& 1 of his elements of bestowed perfection).

This deity, is known as #Ardhanarishwar, where #Shiva is #ShivaShakti…half man, half woman, symbolizing their complete & total #TwinFlameUnion & balance with all #DivineFeminine/#DivineMasculine energies & things.

Once Shiva had masculine & feminine elements within him, Lord #Brahma was able to populate the Earth.

Thus Goddess Siddhidhatri can be worked with by those seeking enlightenment, & those seeking balance or union between their masculine/feminine elements.

And so we close this year’s Navratri celebrations with this beloved aspect of #NavaDurga. Its been a blessing to honor the #Goddesses each day & share her stories with you.

DAY 9 of NAVRATRI :-

Siddhidhatri Devi is the ninth aspect of the Hindu goddess Durga and ninth Navadurga. Her name Siddhidgatri means

"Siddhi" means supernatural power or meditative ability

"Dhatri" means giver or awarder.

One side of Lord Shiva's body is of Goddess Siddhidhatri. Hence he is also known as Ardhanarishwar. It is said that Lord Shiva attained all the siddhis by worshiping her. Read more -
