BJJ Class
Tuesday morning gi class with Keith. We worked on a nifty little reversal from the bottom of side control:
With opponent on top of side control with crossface, bridge toward opponent to get the left underhook.
Bridge again toward opp to make some space and bring your right elbow in toward opp’s right knee.
Reach your left hand over opp’s leg to grab their ankle. You might need to scissor your legs a bit to reach it.
Slide your hips towards opp’s feet and lock up their foot in your legs with a figure four.
Reach your left arm around opp’s back and grab their belt.
Reach your right arm under opp’s left thigh.
Opponent will try to whizzer you and spread their knees apart for a stronger base.
Pulling against their thigh with your right arm, pull your hips up, so you bring their knees closer together. You may have to do this two or three times.
Point your knees up towards the ceiling and turn over to top of side control.
After that we did some positional and some regular rolls. Good stuff!
