Magic Tournament Rules sec 3.15 states that cards do not have to be swapped 1 for 1 when sideboarding. Does this mean that, if I'm running more than 60 cards main deck, I can board out more cards than I bring in, so long as the deck I present is still 60 cards, or am I not allowed to have more than 15 cards I own outside the game?
You can never have fewer than 60 cards in your main deck or more than 15 cards in your sideboard, so the only way to really take advantage of this rule would be to register something like a 63 card main deck and a 12 card sideboard so that you have three extra cuts to play with in each match. Generally this isn’t a beneficial thing to do, though.
