Hobbies. Gimme.

i bestow upon you: piano!

playing piano is simultaneously the most therapeutic and frustrating hobby. it’s deceptively simple; press them funky buttons, be rewarded with music. but the mental control required to actually keep rhythm with yourself while doing two separate things with each hand? there’s a reason i mainly stick to chords. but. the absolute dopamine rush and pride i get when i Finally get a song right is enough to keep me at it for literal hours. not the hobby i’m best at, but definitely the one i’m most proud of keeping at. (plus; what other medium is gonna let me play meme music badly by ear?)

Some Alphys this time.

Alphys – Classic Alphys is a generally kind, driven person. Passionate, she dives into her interests completely, be it anime or science. She tends to get a bit of tunnel vision, and lose sight of what is right. While she means well, things like ethics can fall to the way side. When she comes to realize what has happened, what she’s done, and what that means, she struggles with the guilt and ramifications. She wants to help, and do whats best, but sometimes can lose sight of the forest for the trees. Shy, and anxious by nature, she struggles to interact with people, but longs to make friends.

Underswap Alphys : Sal(amander) – Passionate, driven, with a penchant for obsession. She works hard and gives her all into everything she does. While her classic counterpart prefers magical girl anime, Sal tends to prefer martial arts anime. She can get even more single minded, and go to far. Luckily she has reliable friends who can bring her back down and set her to rights. Hot tempered and fiercely loyal, she can also be a bit unpredictable and prone to recklessness.

Underfell Alphys : Newt – Newt has always placed her curiosity first. She wants answers and she doesn’t care how far she has to go to get them. She doesn’t lose sight of ethics or morals, because she never much considered them in the first place. They are an after thought at best. Having arrived in this new world, she struggled with how things are ran. She’s trying, but often needs someone else to keep her in check. Excitable, but still nervous, she tends to babble uncontrollably when she gets started on a topic.

Swapfell Purple Alphys : Axol – A bruiser type, while she technically is captain of the guard, she also does side work for any establishment willing to pay her. She’ll accept payment to act as muscle, and while she rarely had time for bodyguard or bouncer work, she could always squeeze a good beat down into her schedule. High energy, cut throat, and a forceful personality, make for someone not to be trifled with. She isn’t afraid to get dirty, and rarely trusts anyone, but she isn’t afraid to have a good time now and then. She misses her Undyne.

The current royal cast.

Undertale Asgore – Good old Asgore. He's friendly, if a bit awkward. Enjoys tea and gardening, and when not working, he can usually be found in his gardens. He's a decent enough King, but tends to question himself anymore. Sharing the position came as a bit of a relief to him.

Undertale Toriel – Toriel hasn't changed much since coming to the surface. Motherly, kind, protective. She occasionally gets a case of “mother-knows-best” and can dig in her heels, but she means well. She teaches when not working on the Kingly/Queenly council. Still loves baking.

Underswap Asgore/Daisy – Soft and shy, but very sweet and friendly. He loves randomly planting flowers around town, or leaving little tea blends at people's doors. He can be a bit protective, but is gentle about it, more of a worrier than anything else.

Underfell Asgore/Kudzu – While he no longer defaults to the most violent option, he does take a much harsher stance when dealing with outsiders. He's protective of the people, and dubious as to the “good” in most humans. He doesn't trust the word of their new neighbors, but has agreed to stand down until given reason not to.

SwapfellR Toriel/Clove – Regal, and very much the “iron fist in a velvet glove” type. She's firm but fair with her people, even more so now that they are safe. However she is suspicious of humanity, and ensures the borders are well watched. She also keeps track of any monsters who have left the territory.

Fun fact, Toriel and Daisy are totally dating much to Asgore's consternation.
