I think it depends on the meaning of the ring, does anyone have a full explanation? I remember some blogs doing it.

So I think Tom is meant to represent both animals. According to Google, the orca represents a protector and strong family ties. They are highly social, Fiercly loyal and protective of their pod. They also mate for life.

Swallows are loyal and stable. They represent hope and are also monogamous

Together on a single ring they represent loyalty, hope, safety, and resilience.

So, Z basically said Tom is a social butterfly, a family man, loyal, protective as hell and most importantly, he will only mate for life WITH ME!

Both animals also represent good luck and safe travels home to loved ones after long journeys. There's a compass on both sides of the ring, so that tracks.

Combined with her birth stone in Big Ben Z said, you will come home safe, you will come home TO ME!

sounds about right.

That ring is the most beautiful representation of Zs possessiveness over Tom. she might as well stamped MINE over it, but I'm sure that would be too unhinged.

ㅤI study archaeology, and my professor showed us bullae they had found during the excavations in Pompeii, dating back to the 1st century BC. ㅤA bulla is a tiny stone with an engraving, which was used for authentication—for example, as a stamp for scrolls. It could not be faked, as it was made by an artist in one single example by royal commission. The stone would be attached to a ring; some emperors would have a few for different purposes. ㅤFor the bulla to not stick to the wax when sealing, the owner would have to wet it. They would kiss the ring and stamp the wax. At the house of Marcus Fabio Rufo, they found an engraving on the wall that said: ㅤ"Vellem essem gemma hora non amplius una, ut tibi signanti oscula pressa darem." ㅤ"I wish I were the gem of your ring, just for an hour, to kiss you when you moisten it to impress its seal."

‎‎‎‎ㅤThis ancient way of confessing love was so beautiful to me—literal poetry. I also found a bulla in an antique store; it was from the 18th century, belonged to an Arab. Would love to order a bulla for myself, although I believe the only people who still use it are museum keepers of archives—they seal the doors with their rings. A simple, yet brilliant way to secure the door, while also honoring the traditions. Because nobody will know if someone uses a key, but a sealed wax? Harder to fake the exact artwork of the seal.

@signetrings is so cool, i love how they write Draco! we're in the same discord group together and our muses bicker all the time there its amazing. I'm more indifferent about Draco usually but Mae is just so good at making him a cool character, i love seeing them on my dash, i try to read everything she writes because it's just that good.

Plus i finally got my dash in order with their help so, 10/10 for that alone.

TLDR: Mae is a wonderful writer and everyone should follow her.
