To all middle and highschool students of the USA,

Silence is consent.

You must take action. We are the next generation. The next voters, the next lawmakers, the next politicians. It is our job and our responsibility to take action and speak out. The arrival of 2018 has brought at least thirty different shootings along with it. At least eighteen of them have been school shootings. Keep in mind, that all of them have happened after the clock hit 12:00 AM on New Year's Day. That is (at least) thirty shootings in less than three months. Nothing will change if you don't step up. Nothing will happen unless you force it to happen. Get involved. Don't sit on the bleachers. Don't be anonymous. Don't let the children and adults who have lost their lives to the shootings die in vain. Speak up and out.

Just listen. Sometime it’s best just to listen. These are all facts that are being shared. Instead of being “mad” at Eminem and others that have a platform to capture attention, people should find a platform to stand on and make change. Find your voice. Research. If you don’t see a platform, then build one and share. Am I trying to start trouble? No. But, I can’t see this and then look away. My voice and my social media platforms will be used how I want. What I want is to bring these acts of racism to light. This is not ok. It is unacceptable for a national athletic chain to allow this. Nothing can justify this type of behavior. If I’m wrong, tell me. Tell me that I’m starting trouble.
