He had been sitting on the couch, enjoying a book when Keith has sat near
him. It was clear that he was tired from training or whatever he had been
doing. It was more than likely physical training since he’s been on bedrest for
quite sometime now.
His tiredness was easily seen as Keith slowly drooped towards Kinkade’s
natural warm body. Slowly, he started to fall asleep, and he had rested his head
against his shoulder. It startled Kinkade at first, but soon it passed over him,
and he just let him rest there. He did just save the universe and their planet, and
had been injured greatly, so this was the least he could do for the paladin.
Besides, he really didn’t much care that he rested against him. He was use
to the feeling of his younger sisters using him as a pillow.
Kinkade looked towards Keith as he spoke tired words. He couldn’t help
but chuckle softly, “ You’re not the first to say that to me. ”
While Keith had no siblings of his own, he had seen how Lance and his were, and when he had finally spoken after long minutes more or less cuddling into Kinkade’s side he was unsurprised by the answer. “Do you have siblings?” He asked, tone quiet. It was almost like the moment was too fragile for him to properly break. If it were broken, he would have to be Keith Kogane, Black Paladin of Voltron again. Not just Keith, tired and overworked and in need of just a little warm company sometimes.
“I’m not making you uncomfortable though, am I?” He asked, starting to shift after he had thought himself into a hole.
He and Kinkade hardly knew each other, he couldn’t say he had even called the man by his first name once. He had to have been pushing boundaries, making the man on edge simply by being too close.
