What were Ten and Ecks's parents like? Any better or worse?
not sure how to describe Ecks' parents, Firo and Lana, since they weren't really in the picture, instead being raised mostly by his older sister, RJ. Sleepy also has a post about a lot of its life before Lord Zokket, and while some of the details have changed since it was made, it's overall still pretty accurate. could maybe ask them about those two's characterization though. overall not very good though.
Ten has Copris, Goldie, and Silivester. definitely not good parents, but she probably had the most "normal" childhood of the three of them
Copris is a former beauty contest champ who's pretty haughty, self-absorbed, and. was not particularly clocked in vis-a-vis her kids, but she was usually physically present, at least. Adaphne takes after her a good bit. technically a mom, but more acts as just Mom's Girlfriend, regardless of her role in . yknow. making the children.
Goldie used to be a cook at The Anglerfish, but ended up having to quit so the family could move to Merrygo for Silivester's (better-paying) work. probably the warmest and most Parentally Affectionate of the three, but. she's still not really good at it. was rather strict about some petty rules about the house. bit of an empty nester now that all of her kids have moved out, and not willing to reflect on why some of her kids might not want to keep in touch.
Silivester is a cog in the works at the Duplex Towers, the breadwinner of the family and just barely not an absent father. kinda cold, and kind of stopped keeping track of his kids after the first three or so, often mixing up their names, birthdays, or other important details. Copris and Goldie suspected him of cheating with some office floozy shortly before Ten was born, which sure didn't help matter any. would not actually cheat on his wives, but he sure has thought about it! also rather speciphobic, so Ten eventually spec'ing was a nasty surprise for him.
