Instinct was to pull away from his grasp, but Chloe forced herself to remain calm. That was, what she believed, what had protected her in their last encounter. He'd had her bound. He could have killed her at any time. It could have been lights out, but he'd kept her alive.

Now, she knew she needed him. There was no one else in Gotham that had the contacts that he did.

Eyes looked at him with desperation in her eyes. Chloe wouldn't have sought out this dangerous man if it wasn't needed.

tony was looking down at his phone. he was in gotham once again, only because he had a meeting with the hero of this area. he lets out a sigh "i should be living my retired life.. why am i getting involved.."

Bruce visited every week. He made no secret of the fact that they were friends, or had been friends, even if they weren't always good friends at the moment. Two-Face would occasionally make his presence known, but these visits were highlights in a dark world, warmth in a place of cold stone, and he desperately needed those moments of being human to see life as something worth living.

"I couldn't take Gotham's favorite bachelor off the market, anyway. It's part of his charm."

Harvey Dent smiled one of those old pretty-boy smiles. Joker was not going to ruin this for him.

Emma was starting to have some regrets. Maybe breaking several rules at once was not a good idea, especially when they were big rules. She just had to do this, didn't Bruce understand that? You can't just ban a teenager from doing something and emphasize it several times and expect them to do nothing about it. She was going to meet the Joker one way or another.

This way was poorly planned. The other major rule she was breaking was doing this all as Emma, not Robin. In her defense, she knew there was a tracker in her suit so there was no way she could do this as Robin without getting caught. Still, she could have planned better. Emma had been gathering a few leads, glancing over Bruce's shoulder, holding onto any ounce of information that could lead her to where she was now.

Emma had snuck out of school, which honestly was not that difficult to do, and had gone to the warehouse where all leads led her. Already she was getting questions that felt like a trap. "N--no, I haven't" A big lie. She's Robin, she's seen several people die. This was just rather gruesome and not the first thing she expected to see when entering the warehouse. Maybe Bruce was right. "I was just...I got lost and...heard screaming and..." Shit this was hard to do when she wasn't Robin.
