been on my mlb x bf (batfam if ur wondering - i refuse to call it dc when it's just batman and his hoard of children) nonsense again.

having the best time of my life looking for fics where adrien isn't a terrible person! (this is sarcasm) to make myself feel better i decided to redesign some suit designs.

i'm sorry, the og suit designs for him and ladybug are straight dookie, but cat noir got it worse in my opinion. like come on, what 13 year old boy would wear whatever the heck this is:

i love cat noir, he's my son and he deserves the world, but oh my GOD - he's UGLY.

there is NOTHING there - it's all the same color, the same texture, and it's vacuum sealed to his skin, so there's like no variation in the overall silhouette. it has me sounding like i know what i'm talking about design wise, but i DON'T, i just hate this suit so much that i've gone out of my way to determine why it's bad so i can properly hate it. he looks and feels like a peeled, boiled, unseasoned potato. there's not even butter on that bish.

and i wouldn't be this much of a hater, if this suit wasn't for a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD BOY.

anyways, here's my redesign (uncolored):

i like the idea of the suit's design being a reflection of its wearer. and adrien agreste, a 14 year old sheltered rich boy with a dead mother, daddy issues galore, and no control over his life, who hop-skipped-jumped at the chance of being cat noir with not even one follow up question, should have an equally messy/chaotic suit.

my idea is, adrien would want to dress in a way that his father wouldn't approve of. a rebellion against the strict rules and rigid wardrobe he's forced to wear in his civies.

so i thought, what's the most parentally disapproved fashion style? why alt of course. an umbrella term i know - you know the ones i mean: punk, goth, emo, the works. the ones that have parents looking at you like you're satan itself. i'd say this is more techwear than anything, maybe some punk.

sleeveless shirt, crop top jacket, cargo shorts (i love cargo shorts), like 3 belts on his hips alone (only one of which is actually functional), knee high platforms with too many buckles, pockets (lots of pockets - live laugh love pockets), chocker (which is also a belt) with a freaking bell, matching belt garter (right thigh above the knee) and belt bracelet (left wrist). oh yeah, gabriel would probably have a fit.

honestly, i just slapped on whatever i thought would look good. which is very in character for a 13 year old boy having his first taste of freedom. plagg is spinning in joy, turning into a beyblade in real time.

so, the kwami magic basically shadows their eyes (because it's actually pretty easy tor recognize someone if you know their eyes), hence why i drew the whited out ones. that's what everyone (including the heroes themselves) see. (when their time starts going up the shadow get's lighter).

his gloves are clawed and, yes, on the palms of the gloves and the bottom of the shoes there are toe beans. what do you take me for?

i considered giving him real cat features, like a tail and what not, but decided against it. i actually like the belt tail (those ears connected to nothing can choke), it's honestly peak character design - i drew it too short in my art, it would be as long as the og.

the colors are black and green (duh) with silver accents in like the buckles and bells. the og has a gold bell and like, idk, i prefer black and silver to black and gold.

as for the staff, pretty simple. added two belts towards the to because why not, you can never have too many. uhm, i do like the idea that his staff can split in two - i don't know if you notice but there's a line in the middle of it to signify that.

i believe that is it. there are some extra ideas i had that i might check out (like giving him arm and knee pads to protect his skinny butt), but that's everything i got to say for now.

will be working on ladybug's redesign next, not sure what imma do for her. after ladybug, i'll probably hop off (not really into mlb anymore like that) unless there is interest/requests for other designs.

recently finished the gachiakuta anime and i do believe i just acquired my first human kin

never thought this day would come to be honest. all my kins thus far have been animal-adjacent. one of them is a Pokémon and the other two are literally from a game called Creatures of Sonaria.

anyway, welcoming to the low budget fun house that is my head:

first caught my eye on buddy and was like, okay, interesting looking character—need to acquire me that fit posthaste. can't believe they got the kids out here in field but aight, weirder things have been peeped.

but then—then we got to the Trash Storm Arc and, as i watched, i was thinking: he just like me fr, lol.

and then it hit me: oh! he's JUST like me for real ._.

the rest was history.

i literally can not count on all my fingers and toes how many times i pull the exact same facial expressions as buddy, beat for beat—especially when i'm little. it's uncanny.

he's me, but i also want to cuddle with him. the little guy gives me cuteness aggression.

anyway, all the members of team child have my heart, Bro would be the best caretaker in all of fiction, and Rudo should in fact spend all his time with them and be babied because he deserves that.

will for sure be checking out the manga; i simply cannot fathom waiting for the next season to be animated to know what happens next.

i'm so mad vent warning here

i was scrolling through tiktok, minding my business right? so, context, my tiktok is like 80% gachiakuta and 10% irl gay people (yes, real life gay people - didn't know those existed) being cute and stuff. love to see it, built my fyp brick by brick.

can't remember what tiktok it was, but in the comment section, so ASSHOLE left a whole fucking spoiler - and not like a little one either. no, i was a spoiler for some newest chapter stuff. and like, big stuff too.

i'm not gonna say what the spoiler was because A, i'm not a DIRTBAG, and B, i don't even know if it's true. i don't make a habit of blindly believing tiktok comments (sometimes people be starting shit for no reason) and i haven't even started reading the gachiakuta manga yet (school and what not - i've got a break coming up so i'm planning to start then), but if the reactions under the comment i'm assuming it's correct. (it makes me even more mad cause it's about like one of my fav characters)

and what pisses me off the most is there was literally no fucking need. the dickhead could have been vague and anyone caught up with the manga would know what they were talking about. whatever happened to "iykyk"? like omfg

and you could say i was asking for it, but like come on? so i shouldn't be able to enjoy the fandom just because i have yet to read the manga? this is like only the second time i've been spoiled for gachiakuta and the first time, i literally actively sought it out cause i was curious (as in i chose not to scroll). excuse me for making the mistake of scrolling through the comments (tiktok comments be funny af, i gots to get my daily giggles in).
