I added some more pig and bat to mudwings than I originally did (at the expense of some of their crocodile-ness). Oh and when I said skywings were the biggest I should have specified tallest. They’re pretty flimsy mass-wise.

Mudwings are mainly ambush hunters, especially when hunting barehanded, hiding the bulk of their body under the water around some cover until they launch out. Wings are mainly for short bursts of flight, since their muscle, bone and armor makes them pretty heavy (as such, they don’t prioritize being able to fully spread the wings in their clothing like the other dragons. Clothing is minimal anyway because it’s hot and wet out. Mudwings who wear lots of low hanging and/or white clothing are normally upper class, theyre showing off how they can wear clothes that drag on the ground and not get them dirty (because they aren’t working in the wilds, they’re traveling on paved roads or being carried by someone else). ) Like some snakes and crocodiles, mudwings show indeterminate growth, and can get pretty big later on in life if nothing kills them first (that’s when they’d start lengthening and looking more crocodile like, probably losing flight. ) Age/size is associated with authority in their cultures, so leaders like bigwings are usually older dragons. Having eggs also has an impact on your social standing, but mainly just as a marker of your maturity (number of successful clutches=number of successful years=more important person. Lineage and exclusive reproductive rights isn't important for leaders like it is for other dragon cultures, since everyone mixes eggs/raises them together, but the fact that you have a lineage at all is important. Males dont get the same prestige because they aren’t seen as producing the same “tangible product” of children.
