Vulpes was one of Silus' decanus. So Silus was very pissed when Vulpes broke rank and instead of crucifixion as punishment, Caesar rewards him with a new position in the legion. Silus was humiliated and was furious when Vulpes gave him the biggest smug grin when he accepted to become a frumentarii. His anger grew when Vulpes rise in the ranks and became the leader of the frumentarii and became one of Caesars top men.
So that's why Silus was very critical of Caesar when you see him at Camp McCarran because bro is still hella petty.
As I expected I didn't post the illustration again orz but here's another doodle!!!of one of my favorite parts of New Vegas!! everything that has to do with Silus is very funny to me and I really love beating the shit out of him be it me helping him out or not lol still he's probably better off being a forever prisoner of war under the NCR rather than going back to the Legion to be tortured and crucified for not killing himself LOL it's either die or die with Caesar....
