So this ladies and gentlemen is Silver Denys. In the books, he is the one who attempts to claim sheepstealer but instead gets his arm torn off. His sons then rush out to his aid only to have a dragon come from no where and swoop down and eat all 3 of them whole. That dragon is none other than THE CANNIBAL.

But instead, all we got of his character was watching him become dragon food. I am absolutely disappointed and fuming. No one talk to me for at least a week.

Is the leak about Nettles being replaced by Rhaena actually from a credible source though? Because I had heard that the Sowing of the Dragonseeds won't happen until Episode 7 and either we'll get a glimpse of her or we'll be introduced to her next season?

Here is more info from Redanian Intelligence about Silver Denys trying and failing to mount Sheepstealer in Episode 7. I would think that if they have cast Silver Denys (which is confirmed) and he tries and fails in episode 7 to mount Sheepstealer, it doesn't seem likely that Rhaena would have also been "tracking" Sheepstealer for some time in the Vale as the new leak indicated. Like I know Sheepstealer is a dragon, but he still can't be two places at once. I mean maybe he flies to the Vale after Silver Denys tries to train him? But then that still only leaves Rhaena one episode to be "tracking him for some time." I think (hope) that Rhaena's storyline has more to do with Jeyne Arryn...

House of the Dragon Reportedly Casts Another Targaryen Bastard

The Game of Thrones prequel has reportedly cast Silver Denys.

Actor Robert Rhodes has been cast as a dragonseed named Silver Denys. A dragonseed is a Targaryen bastard or a descendant of a Targaryen bastard.

Here are non-spoiler excerpts of that article.

The cast of HBO's House of the Dragon may have gotten a bit larger. According to Redanian Intelligence, the Game of Thrones prequel series has cast Robert Rhodes as Silver Denys for Season 2 of the series. [ ... ] In addition to Rhodes, it was recently reported that Raised By Wolves star Amanda Collin had been cast as Jeyne Arryn, Lady of the Eyrie also known as the Maiden of the Vale. It was also recently reported that Gayle Rankin is playing Alys Rivers, a healer, and resident of Harrenhal, Simon Russell Beale is playing Ser Simon Strong, the Castellan of Harrenhal and great-uncle to Lord Larys Strong (Matthew Needham), and Freddie Fox is playing Ser Gwayne Hightower, the son of Otto Hightower (Rhys Ifans), brother to Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke). [ ... ] Even with the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, production on Season 2 of House of the Dragon continues. It may just be a coincidence, but Denys is the Latin alphabet transliteration of the Ukrainian version of Dennis (Денис). The prime minister of Ukraine is named Denys Shmyhal' (Денис Шмигаль). 🇺🇦

During the Dance one of the Dragonseeds claimed to be a bastard son of Maegor ( not sure if true: but the age math appears to be a bit off ). Had such a bastard son been born & acknowledged by Maegor, would it have butterfly'ed away a lot of his problems ?

To be clear, I am extremely doubtful that Silver Denys - a man “whose hair and eyes lent credence to his claim to be a bastard son of King Maegor the Cruel” - was actually Maegor’s offspring. At his youngest, Silver Denys would have to have been 81 years old, since Maegor died in 48 AC, and Jacaerys Velaryon was looking for new dragonriders in 129 AC. (If Silver Denys were claiming that Maegor fathered him while the latter was Prince of Dragonstone, of course, then he’d be even older - at least 88, in fact, since it was in 41 AC that Aenys I officially named his son Aegon Prince of Dragonstone.) While it’s possible that Silver Denys was that old, I find it very unlikely; Westerosi can survive that long, of course, those in their eighties and above stand out for age (for comparison, a number of characters considered old - Barristan Selmy, Jaehaerys “the Old King”, Olenna Redwyne - are or died in their sixties or early seventies), and yet Gyldayn makes no comment as to Silver Denys being very old. 

Now, even if Maegor had fathered and acknowledged a living (and non-draconic-looking) bastard son, I very much doubt that would have “butterflied away his problems”. For one, of course, this boy would have to overcome the strong presumption against bastard inheritance inherent in the Westerosi succession model: legitimizing a bastard is rare enough, and in the already new Targaryen monarchy, raising a bastard to the position of crown prince might seem one change too many from the outworlder Valyrian dragonlords to impose on the Westerosi. Moreover, this would not simply be any bastard legitimization, but the legitimization of a bastard in order to keep on the throne a tyrannical, bloodthirsty, anti-Faith usurper - and all of this while a legitimately born prince of the line of Aenys lived and claimed the throne in his own name.  For a faith which preaches that bastards are “born of lust and weakness” and “all … born to betrayal”, Maegor’s actions might, instead of saving his throne, actually damn him all the more: as if the realm needed any further proof that the king on the Iron Throne was a terrible monster set on crushing the faithful, here he was raising up the product of his own lust and infidelity to rule over them after he was gone. The realm would be guaranteed not simply a Maegor II, destined to continue his father’s bloody policies toward the Faith, but one whose very nature (by the understanding of the Faith) was geared toward deception, weakness, and evil. That would put only more pressure on the Faith, and those lords growing unhappy with Maegor’s rule, to look for an alternative - namely, Jaehaerys.
