There is actually a difference, cause defiantly is how it’s spelt in Australia and some other countries, Gomen…but it is like Mom is the American way of saying mother and Australians (along with some others) Say mum

Um actually I am Australian xD We spell definitely, definately... Aka just replacing the i with an a. Defiantly is a whole other word, it means to deny, to rebel against something.

Sentence uses:

I am definitely/definately going to buy that book tomorrow.
