Was trying out an artfight attack but I didn't quite like the pose or expression for the character, so I repurposed it to be an old warrior cats oc instead. Silverleaf was kind of a Ravenpaw clone where she was being abused by her mentor and escaped the clans with her sister because of it, also her mentor forced her to kill her dad because he was the deputy and it was the usual "villain wants to be leader" plot.

If I had to rewrite it, I'd probably keep the abusive mentor but definitely make it more tasteful and have it be a deconstruction of the apprentice setup in general. Like how kits are conditioned to be put on the battlefield as young as six moons and how mentors really can just berate and even physically harm their apprentices in the main series and cats will either not acknowledge it or excuse it by saying it was to toughen them up (Ravenpaw, Lionpaw, that one RiverClan apprentice in The Apprentice's Quest) and what that sort of thing does to a person when they reach adulthood. Course I have to figure out that part, but eventually she's still going to leave the clans and maybe become a kittypet.
