Fierce Sovereignty

Welp, I'm going through a break-up right now, everyone. So I put together a three-night ritual for releasing my energy and regaining my sovereignty as a solitary person.

Ever since embracing magick I've struggled with a manic attachment to doing spellwork the "right" way; doing it "correctly" so that I'm not a fraud. And this fixation has only served to hinder my practice because I scare myself out of doing spells because I'm not ready or knowledgeable enough.

A very large period of this self-imposed paralysis ended last night when I started this three-night releasing post break-up ritual. It's taught me that one can only learn by doing, and even a failed spell is part of being a witch. I need to trust myself more and have the courage to step out of my comfort zone.

I am putting this on here because I want to make you guys proud! I am so inspired by this community and I feel supported enough to share my little victories.

.: Honing My Craft .:

So I have been thinking about, like what MY witchcraft practition looks like.

What I believe, what I dont believe, to see where I stand on certian aspects of the craft.

I do not believe that Witchcraft is a religion. I believe that Wiccan and Pagan are religions based off of witchcraft. Witchcraft itself is a lifestyle and a way of life. I dont have to be either to practice it.

I changed my lifestyle and life to do witchcraft and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Its been lifechanging.

Spirits / Ghosts

( I have seen a few and spoken to a few in my life :) I can feel them around me, thanks to my abilites :) Psychic and Clairvoyance which I've had my entire life :3 )

( Have one who I adore, who's been with me my entire life. )

Divination

( I love doing divination, and talking to my spirit guide! Its so fun! And I have learned how to do it properly! 😊 )

( This is such a fun way to communicate with my spirit guide! When done correctly! )

( I love doing healing spells and just working with herbs and candles and trying things out. Makes me feel like an alchemist! I dont do them all the time, and when I do I am extremely careful but I love them! )

Astral Projection

( That one is obvious. It cant happen )

Baneful Magic

( I was torn where to put this one as I believe in Baneful magic, I dont believe its needed at all. )

GodSpousing

( Just no. Just.. why. Nope. I dont believe in it. I think its a tiktok trend thats gone too far. )

Channeling

( This isnt possible and its sad that people actually believe it is. )

Gods & Godesses

( I'm sorry, but I like a few other older and wiser practitioners online have said, this is a tiktok trend as well, you dont just get to choose your god or goddess, and it takes years to figure out who they are, if theyre even there. I'm calling fake on this one. I believe theyre out there, but I dont believe you just get to go "Hey Loki youre my god now" or something. I just think thats all for clout. I have no interest at this point even trying to find a god or goddess. I'm happy with my spirit guide ❤️ )

So yeah, this is just where I stand right now. I've only been doing witchcraft for 5 months and I realize there is still a lot to learn. But I am more than happy where my craft has gotten to. And I am so blessed to be on this path.

I love what learning and doing this has brought out in me, and I feel such a freedom from it.

If you dont believe the same things I do thats okay! I'm not here to tell anyone what they should or shouldnt believe. This post is for me, just to come back to in a year, two years and see where I stand then.

Thats the beauty of Witchcraft. It is yours and yours alone and everyone's craft is different! ❤️

If you been fighting the gloom a little harder than usual, find yourself being unable to sleep no matter how hard you try, this is another hazing period from the universe. Have you noticed that your interest/passions have changed/developed? Have you noticed that there are people in your life that you’re just not clicking with anymore, despite the history and trying to “make it work?” Have you noticed that you feel differently about yourself overall? Times are turbulent. You are being forced out of your comfort zone. ••• Remember it’s about your perspective. You *have* to keep sight of the good even if it feels delusional. Why would you choose to get hung up on the negative aspects? Maybe that’s the true delusion. How do you move forward? Feeling your emotions and being overcome by them are not the same thing. There is always a solution but you have to first know the problem. ••• One of the problems is that you are carrying way. too. much. And your spirit team is so proud that you are trying but the turbulence is to disrupt this. Being overwhelmed can be a form of self sabotage. How can you give enough energy to your goals when it’s so split up and you don’t practice recalling it? There are some things or people or ways of thinking that you HAVE to let go. And this time period is about this happening whether you invite it or not. It’s going to require lots of willpower but we’ve talked about this — you have all the power and resources at your disposal. Stop feeling like you have to fight and carry everything alone. Don’t feel silly to call out to your spirit team. Like aloud. Just ask. ••• At the end of the day this is yet another fucked up period that you WILL survive and grow from exponentially. You won’t be the same but it’s because you’ll have learned so much about adjusting your perspective, learning how to get to the root of your pain, learning how feel your emotions and letting them run their course. You’ll have let go so much fucking baggage that you felt obligated to lug around. You’ll be more open to the newness you seek because you’ll have the SPACE. You’ll actually have the capacity to be great and grateful. You’re leveling up again.
