Cuddly: Only if you’re Pipp, but even then he has to be in the mood for it and initiate it

Easily Jealous: Very much so. Whatever jealousy a normal human would feel is intensified by his Werewolf temperament, making him pretty territorial of Pipp

Slaying Simming the Princess

I finished playing the pristine cut update for Slay the Princess a while ago and thought to myself: what if I made these guys in the sims? And so I did. I guess this is where they ended up after the "And? What happens next?" ending. XD

I started on The Long Quiet first. I'll admit that his CC is pretty scuffed, but this is the best I could find. It really should not be this hard to find animal parts (that actually work) for a sims game that's been out for this long, but that's just how it is. 😤 I kept seeing these big, beautiful wings taunting me from ts4 the whole time I was cc hunting... I also gave him a long, pointy nose to replicate his beak, and I think it looks alright. I may shorten it in the future, but he does canonically have a pretty monstrous-looking face, so maybe I should just let him be a little ugly. I also think his expression and slight overbite are also kind of cute. ^^ As for his traits, I realized that LQ is actually meant to be sort of a blank slate for the player to project onto, so I picked his traits off of how I personally played him. I also gave him the "Natural Cook" trait since he's already proficient with a knife. XD

Princess was much easier to find CC for, but her anime facial proportions posed some challenges of their own. Knowing from past experience that you can't make anime eyes really work in ts3's artstyle, I tried to go more semi-realistic. I'm not totally satisfied with how her face turned out, but I think she at least looks pretty by normal human standards. I may go cc hunting for a more accurate hairstyle in the future as well. I gave her the "Loves the outdoors" trait since I figured she would appreciate being outside more after being confined for so long. Also, you can't see it with her dress, but I made it so that she's usually barefoot. I mean... in the game, you never once see her wearing shoes, so I figured that she just doesn't have 'em. 🤷‍♀️

So... that's all I have to say about these two for now. I'm going to move them into Moonlight falls, and may consider moving them to Dragon Valley later (after they scope it out with the traveler mod). I plan to post about their first days doing life together sometime soon. ^^

Argus von Tenele, deckhand. * summer 1762, Freie Reichstadt Frankfurt - † summer 1771, Lost at Sea

Early life

Losing both their parents to diseases very shortly after one another, the orphaned young children Argus and Silke, travelled by foot from their hometown Freie Reichsstadt Frankfurt to Amsterdam, Holland, where their uncle lived and worked as an instrument maker. This journey shaped young Argus for life: in being inventive, resilient, protective and positive, all to keep his sister and himself fed, safe and fit until they reached their destination. The private little party they held near a campfire in the woods, halfway their journey when Silke aged up, stayed among the happiest of his memories for the rest of his life. His sister transitioning well, despite all their hardships, was something he felt he definitely had helped her accomplish.

In Amsterdam life continued naturally, with his sister getting engaged to their uncle's apprentice, and Argus living alongside their bliss, picking up the fine trade of making string instruments himself. But despite the joys and safety of a calm and productive life, Argus kept longing for something bigger, more challenging, something to restore that feeling of responsibility from his journey as a child. To him, the large sea ships he saw in the ports, were the answer. Their faraway destinies and their dependence on solid carpentry to safely reach them, was all he enthused about until he came of age and his sister and uncle finally agreed to let him go.

Career

During his first journey as a carpenter's mate on the Swift Seagull, leaving port early 1767 and sailing to various African countries, his quick and resourceful ways with carpentry were readily acknowledged and in one eventful case even contributing to the rescue of the ship. As successful and fulfilling as this first journey was, it also became Argus’s last, for a long time. Back in Amsterdam, an accident during the unloading of the ship's cargo crushed his body and left him an inch away from death. Only the ship's quick surgeon and his own strong will to survive, took him through it, followed by hard and depressing seasons in the care of his family. Physically recovered but hearing no music whatsoever in the violins and lutes he was making, he then often found himself strolling by the docks, watching the ships, and helping out deckhands and dockworkers while they made fun of his wooden leg.

One winter morning, a Captain of a rather dingy ship in dire need of deckhands recruited him. Left behind in France afterwards, without knowing the language and everybody ignoring his efforts because of his disability, it proved impossible to get back. In the end, Argus took the bold decision to actively address those higher up, whom he knew would speak languages other than French. One of the men he walked up to, was Captain Beaudard of the Marianna, early spring 1768.

Death

Argus von Tenele, born summer 1762, was declared dead summer 1771, lost at sea three years earlier. Though rumours of the Marianna not reaching her destination had long been circling the Amsterdam docks, the final notice of it still shattered the hearts of his small, but close-knit family: his uncle, sister, brother in law and two young nephews. His death unnoticed by society, yet by these five, his person was forever sorely and harrowingly missed.
