For Diana's (overdue) Adult birthday celebration, the fam including new baby Mia and aunt and uncle Elizabeth and Spencer head to the vacation home in Simovia. A perfect opportunity for Gerhard's brothers and sister in law to meet the new baby, as well.
This is what the house looks like, now that Deacon and Farah have officially moved in. They had the exterior painted. (Farah was gonna have her pink house and Deacon appreciates the contrast of the white trim against the painted brick, because that white on off-white was too bland.) Flower boxes have been added to the windows along with hanging plants to the front porch.
Nothing’s been done to the backyard yet, except a medium-sized greenhouse has been built by the stone fence. Deacon and Farah have plans to buy a grill and a patio set, do some landscaping. But that’ll probably be a late-spring / early-summer project.
Pictures of the interior are under the cut! :)
The lighting here is a bit off; the wall isn’t so yellow-ish green in my game. (I need tweak the lighting for the two lamps.) But here’s the living room. I like how the dark wood furniture with the metal accents and the green wallpaper tone down the pink sofa set.
Here’s the kitchen. I used the metal awning that came with Seasons as a super-big, rustic stove hood. Deacon’s the one who cooks so I think Farah made sure the kitchen was a room he’d specifically like. Stone, metal, earth tones, woodblock counters. Farah feels like Deacon does more for her than she does for him but this was one thing she could do for him.
This is probably my favorite spot in the whole house? The breakfast nook. All these tall windows bringing in the sunshine and looking out to the backyard. The round table, the pretty plants. I’d spend all day here. <3
The dining room... is half-finished. Imma tell y’all, that rug does not look like their taste. It’s probably something Yasmine had in storage and she thought it would look GREAT in their house. (It does not *lol*)
There’s a little hallway off from the kitchen and it’s basically a little laundry / mud room area. Door to the left goes to the backyard. Door to the right does to the master bedroom.
The master bedroom is mostly finished. Give them some props for finally buying a new bedroom set because they were sleeping on an air mattress at the old house. I use so much of the Seasons furniture in this house and the bed is one of my favorite pieces.
And of course... Deacon hasn’t done a thing with his office yet. He’s bought a desk, a chair, and a new computer, but only because Farah insisted he’d buy the essentials. Most of his books and things are still in storage or at Claire’s house. There’s going to be a wall (or two) of bookshelves soon, though.
Bonus:
A look inside the greenhouse. If anyone is interested, the hanging planters on the front porch and these planters are from the Garden Stuff fan pack made by @plumbobteasociety. There are a lot of items in their pack that goes with the Seaons EP so well.
Official Wedding Portraits Released and Official Title Announcements
The Royal Family delighted all of SimDonia by finally releasing the official wedding portraits of The Duke and Duchess of Sage! The stunning photos showcased the bride, groom, both their families, and the bridal party.
There was even a stunning shot of HRH’s beautiful ring! What a beautiful couple!
Willington Palace also released a statement address Gerhard De Geloes’ official SimDonian Royal titles. The statement reads:
The SimDonian Royal Family is happy to announce the official titles for Gerhard De Geloes following his marriage to HRH Crown Princess Diana.
Gerhard will now be styled as HRH Duke of Sage.
Upon the Crown Princess' accession to the thrown, his title will become HM Prince Consort of SimDonia, Grand Duke of Sage.
Congratulations to the happy couple on their recent marriage!
The news comes at a happier time then at the time of the wedding. As of late, we’ve heard that HRH Grand Duchess Lillian is in recovery at Creekside Hospital. The suspect accused of stabbing her at the Crown Princess’ wedding is still in custody, but little information has been revealed. We hope to know more soon.
At this time, we’re just glad to see some happy and smiling photos of the Royal Family!
The Groom Arrives at the Winston Royal Jacoban Church!
The crowd outside the Winston Royal Jacoban Church is going crazy at the sight of the Honourable Jonkheer De Geloes and his groomsmen. The wedding of the century is really happening!
The gentlemen align outside of the church and wave for pictures before entering. We can see each groomsmen is wearting a red formal jacket with gold detail. Let’s get a close look at who’s in the party and what they are wearing.
In the rear, we see Duke Beckett of Parkshore walking alongside, Gerhard’s older brother, His Highness the Vorst Marcel De Geloes. We’re excited to see some Simovian’s at the wedding. We’re also excited to see Beckett which means his wife and daughter are likely arriving with the bride.
In the middle of the group is Lord Jonothan of Cypress walking with HRH Grand Duke of Umbrage. Both men looking dashing in their red suits and we cannot wait to see their lovely wives and children who are most likely in the wedding party, as well.
Lastly, we see, Gerhard’s younger brother, the Honourable Jonkheer Jacques De Geloes, serving as the Best Man. Gerhard is wearing a black formal suit with gold detail along with a bright red sash. The Honourable Jonkheer De Geloes looks calm yet happy to be there. We can’t wait to see what his beautiful bride is wearing!
Special Guests of the SimDonian Royal Family Arrive at the Reception of Crown Princess Diana and Gerhard
Guests continue to pour in including some special to the Royal family. Let’s see who else is attending this gorgeous event!
Up first, we have His Highness the Vorst Marcel De Geloes who served as a groomsmen for his brother, Gerhard. We love seeing Simovia Royals in SimDonia!
Next, we have another member of the bridal party, Alexandra Mesa who attends with her boyfriend, Chris Mosby. We’re not sure yet how we feel about the couple, but we’re happy to see one of the Crown Princess’ close friends so happy!
In a beautiful green gown, we see Maranda Waters, the Crown Princess’ Private secretary making her way into the venue. The Princess is known for being a pleasure to work for and it’s not unusual for her to have close relationships with her staff.
Lastly, the El Selvadoradian Royals arrive! HM King Jose Salinas is wearing a blue state suit with all the trimmings while his sister, Princess Royal Katalina, wears a lovelt florel dress with green accessories.
Deacon: Holy shit.
Farah: I know.
Deacon: How many bedrooms does this house have?
Farah: Five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and a powder room.
Deacon: Five? Do your parents want a whole curling team of grandkids?
Farah: This is actually one of the smaller homes that realtor showed me. Obviously, Mama and Baba told her price was no issue.
Deacon: Yeah. Obviously.
Farah: ... but I really like it. You can have your own office and there’s room in the backyard for a greenhouse.
Deacon: Marcel can run around until his heart’s content.
Farah: And we could get a swing set. Whenever we do have kids.
Deacon: Hell yeah. The future curling team’s gotta have a swing set.
Farah: Sweetie, I know you’re kidding about the curling team but just so you know, if you want four children, you’re gonna have to give birth to at least two of them.
Deacon: Duly noted.
[ Look who finally opened The Sims 4 to play and take screenshots rather than decorate the largest house she’s ever built. Granted, these are the only shots I took but I thought a sneak peek was in order. And I paused my game the moment Marcel made the best SQUIRREL! face and that needed to be shared. ]
