♔: finding your muse wearing their clothes
No matter how long Seb waited to take the popcorn out of the microwave, he always seemed to burn his fingers. Every time, without fail, he managed to scald his skin on the salty snack. “Fuck,” he murmured to himself, dropping the bag of popcorn on the counter. After another moment, he tentatively opened the bag. The steam nearly burned him again, but he managed to salt the buttered popcorn and shake it all together.
Seb fell into the soft embrace of his couch. The couch was probably his favorite part of the entire apartment, naturally. He hugged the warm bag of popcorn to his chest and reached for the remote, his greasy fingers threatening to slip from the buttons. “Simba!” He called, craning his neck to look toward his room. “I will start the movie without you.”
The moment Seb heard shuffling from his room, he turned back to the television and carelessly perused the options Netflix offered. It wasn’t until Simba slumped into the spot next to him that Seb directed his attention to him. Sim was clad in a grey hoodie of Seb’s, his face almost fully submerged in the hood--but the best part was the duvet that hung from his shoulders. Seb laughed at the burrito that was his best friend. “Didn’t wanna leave the bed?”
“I was cold,” Simba defended himself and settled into the couch, wrapping the blue duvet closer to himself.
“Let me help,” Seb shimmied closer, dropping the bag of popcorn in his lap. He reached over toward Simba’s face and pulled the drawstrings of the hood. Simba’s face was hardly noticeable--only his eyes and nose were showing now that the hood was so enclosed. Seb let out a breathy chuckle. “Perfect.”
