The day actually happened when i was asleep but im Still gonna write it a day after ❤️

Im Extremely grateful to anyone who stayed with me through this year as i Spiralled hard through all of it and burned out from the sims genuinely you have my thanks.

Im verrrrry very grateful to alot of people on here its a long ass list but just know if you have interacted with me or my post even once you have probably saved me by making my day and im grateful to you ❤️

Everyone on simblr that stood tall and still stands with palastine im grateful to you ❤️

All the lost (deactivated) friends i think of you everyday and my heart hurts that i can't speak to you anymore.

Happy day-after simblr appreciation day!

Last night, I started working on tagging simblrs that I'm inspired by and simblrs that I'm always happy to see interacting with my posts in some way. And these two circles are basically one and the same (so thanks, friends!) Tumblr wouldn't let me tag all of you in one post, so I had to split it up in two. Also, I'm going off memory so I'm sure there are people I'm forgetting but know that if I follow you, I appreciate you and the talent and enthusiasm you've shared with this community.

As some of you may remember, I took a break from simblr in the spring of this year. My personal life went from an all-time high to an all-time low by the time summer rolled in. Grief engulfed nearly every aspect of my life to the point where I felt like I was putting on my brave-face mask out in the "real world". I returned to this game and this community as an escape -- a distraction from the loss that seemed so prominent. But every time I played this game, or scrolled through tumblr and caught up with people's stories and gameplay, I felt like the grief was less noticeable even just temporarily.

There's the analogy of grief as a bouncing ball in a closed box. The box has a pain button inside of it and in the immediate aftermath of the loss, the ball takes up the entire space of the box, triggering the intense emotions associated with grief. As time goes on, the ball gets smaller and the ball doesn't always press on that pain button. This game and the simblr community helped make that ball feel smaller in the immediate aftermath of my loss. And I know it sounds kind of silly, but when you're confronted with something so unimaginable that you can't even begin to process, you can't belittle anything that helps you cope or brings you peace.

So that's why I'm so thankful for having this space to share our pixels and stories. Seeing the creativity as I scroll through my dashboard, I'm constantly inspired by how we all turn this game into our own little escape (even when we deliberately cause chaos for our sims -- better them than us, am I right?). I wish everyone good health and happiness in the new year, and I can't wait to see what you all bring to the dash in 2024.

Thank you so much to the people who have helped me out with making CC this year. I'm so happy that I got into it and also so grateful for the kind messages I received as feedback.

No community is perfect as long as we are human, and having faith in people is not the easiest thing. Still, I think this small corner of the internet is quite nice and I'm happy to be part of it 😊

Simblr Gratitude Day

First of all I want to say a huge thank you to any and all of you who have read, liked or commented on my stories. I really appreciate any and all interaction with me and my stories. You keep me going when I feel like quitting.

At first I was uncomfortable with tagging individuals as I don't want anyone to feel left out or feel bad. I know all too well how that feels. Whether you're listed hear individually or not I want you know I appreciate seeing your sims on my dash are sorely missed when you're not there. ILY

@izayoichan - I love your story with and without pictures. Chris and Hayle have had my heart since the beginning. I love that when I have a problem I can come to you whether it be personal or simblr or writing related. Thank you for being a friend and sharing your sims with me being willing to read my stories and making suggestions that make them even better. And putting up with me when whine because your characters refuse to do what I want them to XD

@mahvaladara - for as much as a complain about Arlo and Fann I love their story. Thank you for sharing it with us and putting up with me when i disagree. Thank you for sharing your sims with me and being a part of my story world. You've only made them better!

Simblr Gratitude Day — The first mod I downloaded from you was your religion mod off the mod the sims testing forums, and I couldn’t believe I’ve found what I’d been looking for in the game for years! Now every new project you post wows me. Thank you so much for all the gameplay potential you give this game 13 years on.

i'm working on my simblr gratitude post and i had to split up my post into two because there are too many of you that i appreciate. too many of you that i'm inspired by for many different reasons -- whether it's in your sims, your builds, your storytelling, your edits... i'd post my official gratitude post now but i still need to work on my sappy message to you all. but it's almost midnight and i'm sleepy af so i can't string the right words together. just know that i'm so so thankful on this official day of simblr appreciation.
