Hi there! I hope all things are going well for you. I had a question regarding the exercise mat. It seems that whenever one of my sims exercise with the mat long enough to get the "Feeling Pumped" moodlet even though there is a 4 hour timer for the moodlet, it never seems to go away after a sim stops exercising long enough for the moodlet to expire. I was wondering if there was a fix for this?
Hi! I'm doing well, thanks for asking. :) I thought I had fixed this in an earlier update as someone else had reported it happening and but I'll check and take a look.
Household members will now show up in the options dialog for Snowflake Day card recipients
Adjusted the decorating interaction so the tree will always be decorated provided your Sim does not stop prematurely
Fixed the issue with sims resetting sometimes when autonomously hanging decorations on the tree
Replaced the default decoration with a more Sims appropriate one from Martassimsbook (included as a separate download because I had to resize to fit the tree)
Updates:
Sims can now ask multiple sims for different types of gifts instead of limiting to one Sim.
Letters to Santa: Kids can now write letters to Santa. Click on the mailbox any time three days before Snowflake Day to get the interaction. After writing and mailing their letter, they may get a want or special moodlet to meet Santa.
New Custom NPC role: Holiday Santa. You need to place the Santa chair on a community lot and it will push an NPC Santa to show up to work. Kids can then meet the Santa and talk to them which will fulfill their want if they have one or positively impact their buff.
There’s an XML settings file which you can use to change the hours Santa is available, set the cost to see Santa, and the type of NPC you want pushed for Santa (for example, if you want a traditional looking old, white dude or you are fine with either gender, any race, age, etc.) I would note though, the more specific you are, the harder it may be to find an NPC to fill that criteria
If the chair is on a festival lot, festival tickets will be used in lieu of money if you have enough (20) in your inventory.
Any YA+ Sim can volunteer to play Santa. If there is a volunteer Santa working the chair then the cost is free.
Depending on their age or personality, kids will either sit on Santa’s lap or sit next to him.
Parents may autonomously watch their child meeting Santa, taking photos and things like that.
New custom holiday wishes: I added a bunch of new wishes that Sims may get (depending on personality and situation) during the winter season. Some are age-specific:
Get Playhouse (C)*/Play Kitchen(C)*/Car (T+)/Pet(C) for Snowflake Day, Have 20 or more Presents under Tree, Receive X gifts for Snowflake Day, Decorate Tree, Admire Tree, Make Holiday Crafts (C), Write Letter to Santa (C), Invite Family Over, Spend Time with Grandparents (C, T), Spend Time with Cousins (C, T), Put Gift Under Tree, Bake Holiday Cookies (T+)**, Donate to Charity, Steal Present, Sneak a Peek at Presents, Meet Santa (C), Volunteer as Santa (YA+))
*requires Playtime Fun set; ** requires icemunmun’s Christmas Cookies. The mods are required to fulfill the specific wants, not for the mod as a whole.
Credits/Thanks: Simetria for the Santa outfit, TSM for the throne and Santa animations, Sims 4 for the wants icons. @martassimsbook, ArtVitalex and Li.Ko a.k.a Kiolometro for the various tree decoration and lights. Thank you!
Requirements: Seasons EP.
Important: If this is your first time download, read original post here. If you download the MAAT Add-Ons file, you NEED the More Activities Activity Table mod and Crayon set here. Please note both have been updated so if you already have them, just download the updated script files here and here.
Hi, hope all is well. First thanks for all you do. Your mods always so detailed and fun. I was wondering if I'm missing something for the get pumped mod. After re-downloading the mat, sims no longer participate in the class. they just stand there after stretching, They can work out on the mat itself and all other features work just fine. Thanks
lol yeah I think I accidentally deleted something when I was making the update. But I just *ahem* procured the latest Sims 4 EP so I could pull some assets from it to update some mods, including this one so I'll be releasing a fix + update soon. Thanks for reporting!
This started as just a simple solution to allow my Sims to work out without a TV, radio or gym equipment present but I’m a fitness nut so I knew I couldn’t stop there. I love working out and am always trying out new workouts or gyms like people try out food or clothes. It’s one of my favorite hobbies IRL so I was happy to try and make more exercise/fitness things for my athletic Sims.
This is the Exercise Mat I previewed a few weeks (months?) ago and I added a few more features like the ability to teach classes and also free weights (dumbbells and kettlebell).
Credit/Thanks: @aroundthesims for the free weights and kettlebell which are hers. I only recategorized them to Sports/Hobbies. Mats and board are EA. Animations by me, Mixamo and EA!
All the info and download link are after the jump, read through it all before downloading!
Exercise Mat:
Sims can do different floor and body weight exercises on the mat, which are skill gated:
Sims can also stretch which has benefits if you do it before and/or after exercising.
Stretching before: the Feeling Limber moodlet will prevent your Sim from getting fatigued so long as it is active
Stretching after: the Feeling Limber moodlet will remove soreness if you have it
If there is an instructor mat on the lot, you can assign the mat to the instructor mat so Sims will use it for classes
Instructor Mat: This mat lets Sims who have Athletic skill 5 or higher teach exercise classes.
Assign Instructor - sets who the instructor will be for the mat
Schedule Class - self-explanatory; select a time a date to host a class
Start Class - if you don’t want to wait, you can start a class now. Instructors will wait 20 sim minutes (tunable) before starting the class to allow interested Sims to join.
Toggle Stereo - requires IP to work, adds a stereo to the instructor mat so you can play music during class
Free Weights:
You can lift dumbbells or kettlebells. That's pretty much it. These guys look super happy about it.
You only need one dumbbell. The other one is a prop which will be created once your Sim starts lifting.
Gym Board:
Check Scheduled Classes
Sign Up for Class (Note: you can't sign up for classes that have no spots available but you can still show up and try to get a spot if there's a no show)
Cancel Sign Up
Cancel Class
Gym Classes:
Instructors can hold Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced gym classes, the difference in difficulty affects the fat/muscle delta, fatigue level and athletic skill gain. The ability to hold different class levels is skill gated at Levels 5, 6 and 7 respectively.
If you schedule a class, the instructor and any Sims that sign up for the class will be pushed to the lot an hour before the class starts. Sims cannot join a class after it starts but if they leave before the class ends, they still get charged.
The cost per person is based on the class level and the instructor’s athletic skill. If you have NRaas Career and the Instructor is in the Trainer skill-based career, they will also earn extra money and the funds will go towards their career advancement.
If there are no spots available, you can still check what time the class is and get information on the class if you want to show up and see if a spot opens up.
If classes are hosted on a non-park community lot, like a gym, 25% of the class fees will go to the venue (the venue owner will receive this if it’s owned).
You can check and sign up for scheduled classes on the gym board object. Instructors can also cancel classes there.
There are two "rewards" available: Top Trainer and Gym Rat. Top Trainers are Sims that have taught at least 20 classes. After achieving that, their classes are worth more and they also keep a larger percentage of the cost per student. Gym Rats are Sims that have taken at least 10 classes after which they get a discount on any other classes afterwards.
Notes:
My suggestion is to organize the class room like how I have in my photos with the mats horizontal facing the instructor. I'd also space them out more than I did as some of the exercises involve a lot of jumping/moving around but I have small lots so I have to squeeze in as much as I can! With this plus Twin's spin class and yoga mods, I'm going to need a bigger gym!!
The instructor will face whichever mat is first in the list of assigned mats so I would suggest assigning the front center mat first.
You can have multiple instructors/instructor mats on the same lot but an instructor can only be assigned to one mat.
Sims cannot take a class if they don't have more than $400 in their family funds. You can change this if you like but I don't want my broke inactives spending money on gym classes (we have gym at home!)
If Sims are not autonomously joining classes or using the mat, it’s probably because you have too many advertising objects on your lot that are competing with it. You can up the advertising for the mat but it’s already quite high so you just have to figure out how to balance it. The Join Class interaction does advertise fun and social in addition to the standard Athletic Game Object advertising so I would suggest upping that in order to get more attention from Sims.
The animation of Sims picking up/dropping the free weight is kind of wonky. I may try to fix it later.
There’s a collection file for all the objects but you will find all of them under Entertainment/Sporting Goods. Nothing is more expensive than 150 simoleons.
This is set for YA+ because a) some of the animations will sink for teens and b) they are always trying to do their fucking homework around each other while I'm holding classes and it drove me crazy. You can change the ITUN if you want teens to use it but you've been warned.
Future updates: I'm already thinking about using a similar system to create dance classes. Making an active Dancer career is something I’ve wanted for a while and I have a Sim that would be perfect to test it.
As always, if you run into any issues, let me know!
Fixed the issue where the class levels had been removed (by me) and so the interaction wasn’t recognizing the appropriate animations for the class. Participants should once again be able to do the exercises in the class.
Fixed the bicycle crunches animation so Sims aren’t hovering over the floor
Exercise mats are now both Sim inventory enabled and live dragging enabled so you can carry them anywhere
Fixed a misspelling issue that was causing one of the sit up animations to not play
Fixed a tuning issue that was preventing stage progression for lifting dumbbells
Deleting instructor mats will unlink all exercise mats from them
Updates
Mats can be rolled up when not in use to conserve space
You can now select whether to assign a single mat or all mats in the room to an instructor mat.
Added some of the free weight lifting animations from Sims 4.
Added heavy weights. They work the same as the dumbbells in the game but are bigger so they have a higher fatigue multiplier (your Sim will get tired faster using them)
Added a weight rack which can be used to store weights. If using the “Get Weights” interaction, Sims will grab a weight and start lifting autonomously. After they’re done they will put the weight back
Added an NPC instructor mat. Placing this mat on a lot will push an NPC fitness instructor every day at 6am who can lead classes. The instructor will have at least Level 6 Athletic skill and will be pushed to start classes (roughly every 2 hours from the last class held) between 7am and 7pm. These are not scheduled classes so you won’t be able to sign up for them. They will just be announced half an hour before it starts if you’re on the lot where the class is taking place. You can also prompt a class using the Call for Class interaction on the NPC mat. Like the regular instructor mats, they need to have exercise mats assigned to them.
The collection file has been updated with the new objects. All can be found under Sports or Hobbies/Skills.
Credits: @aroundthesims for the rolled up mat, free weights and weight rack. EA/anadius for the animations. Thank you!
Hi! I love all your mods and I can't imagine playing with them so thank you for all you do!
I am having trouble with the Snowflake Day Activities mod. I have downloaded the latest version as well as the latest version of the activity table, but my child sim cannot make a Snowflake day card for anybody (the pop up menu turns up blank when you click on that option to make a card). Also when I decorate, the sims do the animations however, the tree doesn't show up as decorated at the end of it when choosing any of the options (default decorations and martaasimsbook decor). I have the decor and have updated the XML on the main file with the XML file provided but the tree doesn't show up as decorated.
Thank you so much!
Hi! Yeah, there's a weird thing I noticed with the card interaction where the Relationships.Get() method doesn't include household members. Also liking has to be greater than 40 so maybe your kid just doesn't have any friends? jk
I updated this mod with a fix for that and to add in more features but I just have to finish the animations before I share. As for the decorations, the interaction may show as completed in the progress bar in your queue when it's actually at like 99.5% or something like so just go back and do it again to complete it and the decorations will show up.
Olomaya, You make great mods which enhance game functions. The latest one being the Art Gallery active job. In this mod I see Into Future Pack as a requirement. Can the mod play without it or is it a hard dependency?
Hiya. You can play it without ITF but won't be able to successfully host a Gallery Fundraiser event.
Hey Olomaya! How are you doing? I have been loving the recent mods, thank you so much! I am having an issue with my toddler using the sized down bed (this one I think, OM_AnimalFriends_ToddlerBed) as he was constantly wetting the bed and waking up from it all night, never gaining any sleep. Even when I removed the moodlet and cheated his needs up, he continued to wet the bed and get the moodlets again. He's not potty trained and has no toddler skills, if maybe that plays a role? Just wanted to report that bug and see if anyone else has had that issue or if your able to get a fix out. Thank you!
Hi and thanks for reporting! The repeated bedwetting problem should be fixed now. Toddlers may still wet the bed if their bladder is low (100% will happen if they are not potty trained, 45% chance if they are) but the mod will only check once when they hit that motive threshold and not again. I also reduced the chance of them waking up from wetting the bed to 35% (unless they are neat or light sleepers in which case they will always wake up).
Thank you so much for your Playtime Fun kit! All the toys and related animations are really awesome. The only thing that seems to be a bit out of order is the mixer toy for toddlers because it resets a toddler and throws an error every time they play with it (and it's a real pity because the mixer is the cutest toddler toy in this kit, imho).
Interesting, the mixer is my least favorite (toaster >> blender >> mixer) so I'm glad to see it's someone's favorite! 😁 And of course, credits sixamcc for making such a cute mesh. If you have NRaas Error Trap you can send me the log so I can see what the issue is (probably the prop not unparenting in time) otherwise, I'll just have to see if I can recreate the issue next time I'm playing with a toddler.
Hi, how are you? I read in your koffee page that you had in mind an active career for the religion mod, that plan is still in mind? that mod is so cool, so imagine that career with events like the gallerist mod... WOW
Ah yes, speaking of active careers. Yeah, I really want to go back to that mod and expand it. I keep seeing people using it to create cults in their game which is a cool idea I'd definitely love to expand upon.
You are the absolute Sims 3 queen! What you achieve, what you make possible for us, is Oscar-worthy, I simply had to say that.
Thank you so much! That's so sweet! Also you got me thinking about how cool it would be if there could be an award for mods at The Game Awards or something like that. 🤔
Heyy first of all, i love your mods <3 i wanted to ask you, since you've already made some active careers, if it would be possible to create a maid/housekeeper active career in which the sim has to go to different residentials lots to clean
Hello and thanks! Being a maid/cleaner isn't really of interest to me as I can't see how that would be fun in the long-term. Maybe for one Sim in one save but then it's just...cleaning and the fun of active careers for me is that you get to do things through the career that you wouldn't be able to do otherwise. Anyway, I have like 12 half-made active careers I should probably finish first that would side-eye me if I embarked on a new one. 😅

This is one of my OG mods. It started as a basic active career that I made for one of my Sims that had just graduated from University with a degree in Fine Arts but I wanted her to have a more of a 9-5 rather than being a self-employed artist. No idea what happened to that save file (I don't think I got past Gen 2) but the mod remained and over the years I've been going back to it via various sims and adding more and more to it. At a certain point you have to stop tooling with it and move on and I guess I'm at that point!
The Basics: This is an Active career (similar to the Firefighter career) where you work in the local art gallery, building relationships with local artists in town, buying pieces from them or from the local auction and then selling them to clients. You can also throw gallery events to promote local artists or raise funds.
Requirements: Ambitions, Late Night, University, Into the Future. Built on ver 1.67, should be fine with 1.69
Credits & Thanks: The foods come from ACNH and DDV. The drinks are converted from Sims 4. The computer, safe object and pamphlet accessory is from @aroundthesims. Refreshments table is from @kandiraver-sims.
The auction items are from the following creators: QBUILDERZ, spladoum, k2m1too, Frances Ngai, Meinkatz Creations and Blams EA Store. All credits go to them. There is a merged version and also a folder of the items individually if you have some in your game.
I only just added in the custom LTW last week and it's something I've wanted to test out for a while and velocitygrass' excellent tutorial made it surprisingly simple. Also I'm grateful that we have Gamefreak130's custom LTWs which were great references for something more updated since the tutorial is pretty old and to see how to link non-major wishes.
Also thanks to @sarahsarita00 who tested an old version of this like two years ago and was probably wondering what the hell happened to it 😭😭
There's more details on how to play all the features below the cut and detailed instructions in the documentation you'll find in the downloads folder. And as always, bug reporting (not all caps vague cries for help) is always appreciated. 😄

Manage the Local Art Gallery
Sell Art: Every crafted painting, sculpture, and photograph becomes a valuable "art piece" for sale on your gallery lot. Add custom frames to painting canvases to match their level of elegance and craftsmanship.
Total Control: Set your own prices, curate collections, and design the perfect space to attract rich buyers and art enthusiasts.
Delivery System: Securely store your inventory. Sell a piece and personally deliver it to the buyer's home for the perfect placement.

Sales Interactions: Hand out brochures, show art and entice buyers to convince visitors to purchase. Your charisma and skill directly impact your sales success.
Turn Beautiful Art into Cold Hard Cash
Art Sales: Selling for the gallery also benefits you as you earn sales commissions from each sale. The bigger the sale, the more money you make!
Secure Grants: Use your writing skill to apply for grants and secure up to §10,500 in funding for the gallery to grow your business.
Host Fancy Events: Unlock Artist Showcases (Level 6) to boost an artist's profile (and the value of their pieces) and Gallery Fundraisers (Level 8) to schmooze with elite donors and secure massive donations. Success depends on your charm, the art, and even the refreshments and rewards you with a hefty bonus!
New Lifetime Wish: Prove you can be the ultimate art mogul by completing the brand new "Profit Picasso" LTW from reaching Level 10 of the career and selling over §500,000 in art.
Forge Relationships with Artists
Discover & Recruit: Research local artistic talent and offer to represent them. Once you do, you’ll get first dibs on their newest creations.
Negotiate Art Purchases: Buy art directly from anyone, negotiating the price based on skill, relationship, and the piece's value.
Create a Integrated Economy: If you play as an artist in another household, you can actively set your price and sell your art to any working gallerist in town which can fetch you a higher price rather than selling into “the void”.
Master the High-Stakes Auction House
Get Your Paddle Ready: The thrill of the bid awaits! At Level 7, gain entry (hopefully) to exclusive art auctions.
Strategic Gameplay: Employ different bidding strategies in a fast-paced mini game to outsmart competitors and win rare pieces. But make sure you stay within budget!
Unique & Valuable Pieces: Acquire one-of-a-kind art pieces not available anywhere else. These exclusive items can appreciate in value over time, making them perfect investments for wealthy Sims looking to spend their money.
Customizable: Load your own custom paintings and sculptures into the auction cycle to switch it up!
Hope everyone is enjoying the festive season so far. I made a few small updates and fixes for the Gallerist mod. Thanks so much for all love I've received on that mod so far and to the people that reported bugs and issues.
Fixes:
Fixed the issue with Gallerists not being able to buy art directly from Sims
Replaced some missing text
Fixed the issue where Entice to Buy sometimes causes the game to CTD. I believe this was a sync issue so I've addressed that but if this is still happening after you've downloaded the update, please let me know.
Upon joining the career, the gallery safe is automatically placed somewhere on the lot. If a good spot isn't automatically found, it's not placed. So you will now get a notification telling you that and that you will need to manually add it yourself. (It's in the Miscellaneous Storage section). Note you can always just add it yourself before joining the career as the mod checks whether a gallery safe is there or not before trying to add one.
Commissions!
I added a "commission" feature which triggers at Level 5 of the career. Starting at this level, every time you start work there will be a chance that 1-2 of your resident artists will be pushed to start on a piece. They will notify you when they start and then again when they're finished and make you an offer on the piece for you to buy. This ensures you're getting a steady supply of art pieces for your gallery.
In order for them to be pushed, their home lot has to have the appropriate skill object (e.g. easel, sculpting station) for their preferred medium. They are then pushed home to immediately start working.
For photographers, it will check whether they have a proper camera otherwise it will use their phone. Because photography cannot be done autonomously, if your artist is a photographer, the photo screen capture will pop up (from the perspective of your photographer), press "I" and then you will have to take a photo.
As you progress in the career, the chance of this happening increases, as does the number of artists that may do it.
Once your Sim gets to Level 6, they can ask any of their resident artists to commission a piece which will push them to start working on something provided their motives aren’t too low.
Vroom vroom🚗 Angela took her friend bunny Flopsy for a ride.
I finally get more time to test all options of @olomaya's Playtime Fun mod and I love toddler jeep so much, so I converted this lovely toddler car by waronkcc.
If you interested, car is HERE (you need olomaya's PlaytimeFun_MAIN mod and PlaytimeFun_ToddlerJeep to work)
Hi! I hope you're doing well! First, I truly want to thank you for everything you're doing. The Sims 3 wouldn't be the same without creators like you, who keep the game alive even 16 years after its original release! Otherwise, I was scrolling through reddit and came accross a post 'What Mods Do You Most Want Created?' and it actually came to my mind to ask you about it! Except your owns, would there be any mod that you would love to see one day in the game? Looking forward to see your answer :)
Hi and thanks so much! 16 years on and they still haven't made a better life sim than the Sims 3!
That's actually an interesting question: What Mods Do I Most Want Created?
I guess aside from the ones that I've made or are in the process of making, my mind would automatically go to something that wouldn't be possible in the game because of the core limitations which is the ability to have multiple households on one lot, or mixed residential and community lots.
I'd also love a mod that would emulate Sims 2 style dressers where your dresser CAS actually stores the items you've purchased and only shows that, and you would be able to sell or give away your old clothes or buy secondhand clothing. I would love if someone brought that into the game.
Hi, how are you? I want to ask u about the sexy dance mod, can u tell us something about that mod? looks super cool
ahem, it's called Exotic Dancing, @trash-rules and it's very much a skill and an art, thank you very much. 😜 But not much to share at the moment. Right now I have a skill and a (skill-based) career and lots of fun costumes which is all in working condition and has been tested thanks to @frostedshore. You can check out some of the mod in action on her page.
I usually design my mods first before I start work on them but this one I kind of did on a whim in a day so there's a lot of elements that I haven't really thought through yet. I'm not sure how much strip club elements I want to put into it (setting up your own club, hiring other dancers, that kind of thing) because I don't think I'd be that interested in being a club owner. Also need to think through the jealousy mechanics (should your Sim's partner get jealous if they see you getting a lap dance? If so, who and when and why? That sort of thing) But I do intend to make it NSFW so it'll be my first NSFW mod (for any game, not just Sims) which I'm excited about.
But all that + the dance routines means it's very animation heavy and that takes time (mostly just because I have to be in the right mood to do it) so it's further down my to-do list currently.
