Early in the relationship but deep enough to be odd with each other, Simeon jumped Barbatos because he learned Barbs hadn't slept in three years. Sure, he probably doesn't need sleep, but he's getting it.
We've spoken of how Simeon often has random ideas in the middle of the night that he writes down which have gotten dirtier since he's been dating Barbatos, what He doesn't know is that Barbatos has read these notes. Simeon tried so hard to hide them from Barbs, Barbatos is pretending he saw nothing but he knows what Simeon wants.
Barbatos is a greed demon. He's used to have the strongest handle on it ever, now he's trying to monopolise Simeon's time, kisses, hoarding stray feathers and all that jazz. He thinks he's being subtle, but even Luke and Mammon have noticed.
Pray for Micheal, Simeon figured out how to send images from his DDD and now he's getting a hundred photos of Barbatos whenever Simeon starts gushing over him in text. He's being paid in sweets to put up with it.
Barbatos regularly helps Simeon get rid of malware on his computer. He doesn't even know what Simeon is downloading. At least Barbs doesn't have to worry about Nigerian prince scams, Simeon only has eyes for him.
Barbatos is constantly bringing cake over to Purgatory hall but that's not the only kind of cake getting eaten. They love double entendre because Luke doesn't know what's actually going on because he doesn't need to know.
Simeon will be like "what do you mean threatening?" Knowing full well that Barbatos is an incomprehensible entity and staring too long makes lower demons go mad, but look at how cute his little hair thing is and Barbatos even let Simeon put a bow on his tail!
whenever Lucifer or Raphael are willing to watch Luke, Solomon will put himself in their dates because he's decided Barbatos does not deserve any peace and plays practice child. Simeon finds it funny since Solomon usually doesn't overstep and ditches when it's time for intimate activities.
Simeon plays a dangerous game where he'll randomly smack barbs ass, grab his tail, kiss his neck without anyone else noticing, general sexy looks, and see how long Barbatos can maintain his composure. Will Simeon face consequences later? Yes, he's been a naughty angel. Will it be worth it? Also yes because he's a naughty angel. He may need to go back to heaven for a bit to repent (still worth it, not anyone can say they teased Barbatos and lived).
Barbatos has started making some of Simeon's outfits. He takes Simeon's measurements every time he decides to make something new to appreciate every inch of the angel.
Simeon has played his hand at knitting plenty of times before and makes Barbatos blankets and mittens for when it gets colder.
Luke introduces Simeon and Barbatos as his dads. Solomon has forgotten to explain that this doesn't fly in every country in the human realm but Barbatos and Simeon already have a cover story so they never have to correct Luke.

Simeon makes Barbatos stay in his bed. Solomon tried to wake Simeon up one morning and got hit by Barbatos' tail.
Simeon keeps going through the random doors in Barbatos' room, mostly because Simeon forgets which one is the exit. It doesn't matter if Barbatos' puts a sign on the door, Simeon usually can't see it because he forgot his glasses.
Barbatos licked Simeon's face while making eye contact with someone flirting with the angel. Simeon did not know he was being flirted with. The perpetrator was too scared of Barbatos to say anything about it.
Simeon sometimes tugs on Barbatos' tail, which is very sensitive but not in a painful way.
Luke isn't aware that being gay was not the norm in some places in the human realm (The Celestial Realm and Devildom don't have a singular fuck for sexualities) so he's almost outed them in less than safe spaces because he thinks it's normal for two men to be together.
Simeon actively prevents Barbatos from killing Solomon.
Angels can get Tattoos if they can justify the meanings. Many angels get a ring tattoo across their finger in they are married which is considered justified and Simeon has one for Barbatos even though they cannot marry yet in the Celestial Realm, only the Devildom has recognised their relationship as valid so far.
Barbatos often cannot stop staring at Simeon's hip cutout things. He looks perfectly composed minus the blatant staring and it doesn't appear hinder his work, except that time he tripped on a chair and fell flat on his face because he was too busy looking at his husband.
Simeon and Barbatos do not often get the privilege of having freaky adult time as Luke can enter at any moment because he frew up.
prior to their established relationship, Simeon got a little carried away and wrote something that was clearly just a fanfic if him and Barbatos with different names slapped on it.
Simeon learned a little about Demon Courting customs and how demons sometimes left dead things for their lovers like cats, He tied up Solomon before leaving the sorcerer on the table for Barbatos to find (Solomon agreed to play dead in return for one of Simeon's feathers to experiment on).
Barbatos ate Solomon's cooking so Simeon wouldn't have to. Simeon would have proposed right then and there but he didn't have anything prepared.
Simeon's outfit is the biggest distraction to Barbatos' work. Barbatos isn't mad about the distraction at all, he's just mad other people get to see Simeon wearing the revealing outfits.

Barbatos can be completely unhinged but no one would ever believe Simeon if he said Barbatos did something weird. For example; Barbatos appearing out of nowhere, biting Simeon, and then leaving. Simeon wants more kids, Barbatos just holds up Solomon whenever Simeon brings it up. Keeping one Solomon out of the kitchen is enough responsibility for three eternities. Simeon unfortunately cannot disagree, and they already have Luke.
Simeon and Barbatos have an entire hidden language with code to discuss sex without Luke accidentally overhearing something he isn't supposed to.
Barbatos likes using the fork in his tail to hold Simeon's hand.
Simeon learned some tricks from Mc and Solomon on how to get attention immediately. Barbatos is now subject to being bitten whenever his angel wants attention and Simeon is so polite about biting him outside the bedroom. 10/10, very gentle.
Barbatos has considered getting a tattoo of Simeon's bite marks so even when he heals he's still marked as Simeon's. The only thing stopping him is that he doesn't know where he wants it.
Simeon doesn't understand his husband's love of metal until he transferred it to Piano. They now listen to rock together with a piano accompaniment.
There are exactly three photos still circulating in the general public of Simeon carrying or holding Barbatos. The first is Barbatos under Simeon's arm when Sims kidnapped him for a vacation, the second is when Barbatos jumped into Simeon's arms at the sight of a rat, and the third is Simeon dragging Barbatos to purgatory hall after deciding barbs was working too much
Simeon learned that Barbatos has never taken a vacation and proceeded to hunt, tackle, and kidnap him with the assistance of Diavolo. Barbatos was forced to spend two weeks enjoying a beach in Malaysia with early morning coffee, good books, and nights of adult rated playtime with Simeon.
Simeon occasionally indulges in Solomon's pranks when they are harmless. He's the reason the pranks stay tame. One such prank was when he left computer mouses all over the kitchen and mentioned a "mouse problem" to barbatos.
Barbatos and Simeon have matching rings, even before a proposal was ever made. They both stare at their respective rings when they miss each other, such as when Simeon has to go back to heaven.
When Simeon and Barbatos went public, they temporarily lost custody of Luke. If heaven is willing to slaughter an angel for saving a human as if it weren't the purpose for angels existence then of course they'd take a child away from one dating a demon. Luke was immediately returned when heaven discovered what kind of threat Barbatos is when someone takes his child and makes his husband cry.
Simeon called Barbatos "huzz" thinking it was short for Husband, not hoes. Solomon had to gently correct him, Simeon was slightly horrified because that should not be how that word works.
Barbatos is the reason Simeon was able to write a book of recipes for the foods mentioned in TSL.

Simeon regularly comes over just to decorate Barbatos room. There's a section up the stairs that is now the cosiest place in the Devildom.
Diavolo keeps giving Barbatos random days off so he can take Simeon on dates.
Poor Micheal, as the only angel aware of the relationship, got stuck on a three hour call with Simeon where Simeon talked about nothing but Barbatos. Micheal will rue the day Simeon learns how to send photos of Barbatos.
Simeon is the only person in the three realms to have seen Barbatos sleep and get a photo.
Simeon introduced Barbatos to the wonders of Plushies since it's stated that Barbatos did not have a childhood or was a child at any point. He didn't really see the appeal but keeps only a stuffed bear that he a message from Simeon recorded inside of it.
Barbatos work ethic diminishes when Simeon goes home to the Celestial Realm. Only Diavolo and Solomon ever notice, it goes unobserved by the brothers and other palace staff.
Simeon has snuck out of Heaven to see Barbatos. Micheal pretends he doesn't notice, in fact he is blind in his right eye and 40% blind in his left (iykyk). Raphael also notices the sneaking but thinks it's for Barbatos' cake, which it is but not the kind Raphael is thinking of.
Barbatos greatly disapproves of people licking the spoon/spatula while cooking but doesn't seem to care when Simeon does it, in fact Barbatos has another thing he'd like Simeon to lick.
Simeon takes a lot of naps in Barbatos room once he got it all decorated.
Barbatos has severe cuteness aggression because he has only experienced love as an observer of others affections, not as someone feeling it. Several realities have been destroyed and put back together because he'd rather do that than hurt Simeon with the feelings he's overcome with.
Barbatos has called Luke Son more than once and it makes Simeon so happy. Everyone is a sister/brother in the celestial realm so this is like Simeon's own personal family that he gets for himself the way the brothers had their own little group even before the fall.
Simeon started giving Barbatos a bedtime kiss every night. Barbatos was super sulky the one time Simeon forgot. Only Simeon, Solomon, and Diavolo noticed this of course since the man has a mask of steel but the sulkiness was bad enough that Solomon abandoned his original annoy Barbs that day.
Simeon once took them to do the Awkward JC Penny photoshoot at Solomon's recommendation. Simeon keeps some of the photos up on his fridge.
Simeon regularly gives Barbatos massages which forces the butler to relax.
Simeon is still so confused as to how Barbatos is a greed demon yet had such an empty room before came and forced Barbatos to get a mattress. Seriously, where is his mattress?
Simeon keeps opening random doors in Barbatos room trying to see if there's a hidden room where Barbatos keeps treasure because again; Barbatos is supposed to be a greed demon. However, It is speculated by the little D's that Barbatos just rolls around in the gold piles in the castle treasury as Diavolo knows Barbs won't take anything. He may actually have slept in the gold piles which is why his room is so barren.

I feel like Simeon and Barbatos have known each other even longer than before Nightbringer. It could be the Devs rushing things but it felt like Simeon trusted Barbatos with Luke too quickly for them to not have a previous relationship.
this ship starts with respect, trust, and friendship, which all healthy relationships start with.
Simeon confessed first. He wasn't going to wait and miss his chance, sure they are immortal but Barbatos could end up in a relationship with someone else. Besides if Barbatos had rejected him he'd at least have an answer.
Barbatos stays over at purgatory hall since Simeon's room is perfectly warm. He especially likes being in bed with Simeon for cuddles amongst other things.
Simeon is appalled by the lack of bed in Barbatos' room since his love deserves comfort and, y'know, not sleeping on the damn floor.
Simeon has gotten lost in the timeline after opening a door in Barbs room and getting sucked in. Barbatos fished him out and wouldn't let Simeon leave his side for a while. Diavolo didn't question it after hearing how Simeon fell through time, Simeon however teased Barbatos for being so clingy.
when in the kitchen together, Barbatos will wrap his tail around Simeon and if Barbatos is close enough Simeon will unfurl his wings to wrap around Barbatos.
Luke has referred to Simeon and Barbatos as his dads when speaking to Micheal. Micheal looks away from their relationship to keep Simeon out of trouble and so Luke can stay with them. With times changing it may finally be legal soon, Diavolo is already trying to push it through in the Devildom for Barbatos sake.
Simeon sends Barbatos gifts of tea and other Celestial goods whenever he has to return to heaven. Barbatos doesn't let Simeon go back without a few packed meals and sweet promises for when Simeon returns.
Simeon will show up in more provocative clothing to tease Barbatos while he works. Simeon is aware of the effect his normal outfit has on Barbatos and it just gets worse.
Simeon needs the bible more than Barbatos does, but discovering the fun of sex after a lifetime of celibacy would make anyone a freak.
Cuddles, so many cuddles. Simeon may just kidnap Barbatos from work to make him take a break and cuddle.
they have movie nights every Saturday with Luke. It used to be game nights but Monopoly got too stressful when Solomon decided to involve himself.

Sure, also sorry to the anon that got drowned and those that have been in my ask bin, I've been distracted by this thing. I'm thinking, a cute little fanfic, sort of silly. Simeon and Barbatos held Luke's hands as they crossed the street. They had come up to the human realm to learn more about the realm but if they were being honest it was more of a normal family outing. For Luke it was a surprise but Simeon and Barbatos had planned it out several days in advance. Neither had told Luke where they were going, but they started their way to the aquarium, then a picnic at the park, and finally the baking exposition.
Simeon opened the door for Barbatos and Luke as they arrived. Luke looked around in awe. This aquarium was much bigger than the one they volunteered at, or perhaps it was just time that made new spaces seem bigger. The first thing that caught Luke's attention was of course an angelfish. Simeon read through the plaque but Barbatos just stared at the fish since he already seemed to know everything about them.
"These ones are pretty."
Barbatos nodded "These are angelfish Luke."
"Humans certainly like naming things after us."
Simeon nodded as he tried very hard to read the plaque in the dark "They name things after demon's sometimes too, it must be a human thing."
"Maybe I should ask Solomon about it."
Barbatos made a face of disgust at Solomon's name and Simeon laughed. The angel appreciated how Barbatos was a little more expressive when off duty but even while working the same face likely would have been made at the mention of the sorcerer. Another fish caught Luke's eye, and another, and another. There were just so many fish to see and things to know about them. Simeon and Barbatos let Luke wander off a little but continued to keep their eyes on him, just in case. No one in the Devildom would have been stupid enough to touch the boy lest the face the wrath of his two terrifying dads, but they did not have such reputations in the Human realm.
Simeon's eyes occasionally wandered over to the plaques, wanting to know more himself. Barbatos kissed Simeon's cheek to catch his attention and handed him his glasses, which Barbatos knew Simeon would've forgotten.
"I can keep an eye on Luke."
"Are you certain, you should enjoy your day off as well."
"I can't think of a better way to spend it."
"If you say so dearest."
Simeon kissed Barbatos back, but on the lips since cheek kisses were not enough. Barbatos smiled and caught up to Luke while Simeon attempted to read as Many plaques as possible. Luke discovered a touch pool and Barbatos stood by his side. The angel had chosen to pet the urchin getting the least amount of attention from others so it wouldn't be sad. Barbatos was not keen on sticking his own hands in the tank but Luke seemed very happy. Simeon caught up, curious to see what his family was observing.
"a touch pool?"
"Yeah, we can touch the fishes."
"Hm." Simeon reached down and pet a Starfish momentarily before pulling his hand out and shaking the water off.
"I have hand sanitiser if you need it."
Simeon held his hands out for some "Thank you honey."
Luke held his hands out for some as well once he was done "Thank you!"
"You're welcome."
Simeon leaned down to speak to Luke making him pout a little "Where next Luke?"
"Uhm," Luke looked around, he was getting peckish "It's close to lunchtime right?"
Barbatos placed a hand on Luke's shoulder "You're hungry?"
"Yeah."
Simeon took Luke's hand and started leading the way to the exit "Lets have our picnic then. The park isn't too far."
"Yay."
the two angels suddenly stopped near the exit. They both caught sight of a moray eel that looked eerily like Barbatos. They looked back and forth for a few turns, it really was uncanny. Luke huffed.
"ours is better."
"You're right Luke, Much better."
"I'm not going to pretend I know what you two are referring to."
Luke pointed right at the eel "That fish looks like you."
"That's a moray eel Luke, there's currently about 200 kinds of them."
"Woah, that's amazing."
"It really is."
Barbatos glared at the sun as though it personally offended him as they left the aquarium. Demons weren't exactly used to the sun, and Simeon wouldn't be surprised if Barbatos had beef with some sort of sun deity. Simeon was very happy they came out to the human realm since it was a good day for their picnic, even if Barbatos had been flash banged by the sun. Luke took notice of Barbs not enjoying the sunshine, which should have been good.
"Barbatos, why are you so mad at the sun?"
Barbatos looked down at Luke all squinty "It's very bright Luke, demons don't see well in the light."
Luke tilted his head "Me and Simeon shine brightly but you've never had a problem with that."
"Because you and Simeon are precious to me."
"But that doesn't change the brightness."
Simeon chuckled and ruffled Luke's hair "Barbatos doesn't mean that he's unaffected, he means that because he cares he's willing to get blinded by us."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
Barbatos let go of Luke's hand once they reached the park and followed him to whichever clear spot the child decided on. He pulled a picnic basket out of thin air and appreciated the view from behind Simeon as the older angel bent over to set out the blanket. He set down the basket and Luke started setting things out. Simeon and Barbatos had worked the night before to prepare sandwiches, cookies, fruit punch, and a big salad for today's picnic. Luke and Simeon clapped their hands together to pray while Barbatos silently cursed God in thirteen different languages just because he could. Simeon and Luke finally looked up and they all began to eat.
Simeon finished first, perhaps hungrier than he thought, and rested his head on Barbatos shoulder. Barbatos welcomed this, especially when Simeon looked so peaceful while enjoying the sun. Luke finished next and Barbatos let him know he could run around for a while, it was a very nice day after all. Simeon started falling asleep, a very poor choice it was to fall asleep on a demon. Simeon was so relaxed, so peaceful, so forgetful of what kind of creature they were in a relationship with. Barbatos kissed Simeon's forehead and started playing the sounds of a crying baby on his D.D.D. It was all of two seconds before Simeon was standing and looking around for the baby.
"Barbs, where, I-" Simeon woke up enough to understand the implications of Barbatos smug look and tackled him "You demon."
"Yes, that is what I am. I have gotten too good at letting you forget that."
Simeon rans his hand along Barbatos chest "Oh? and how else are you going to remind me?"
Barbatos snaked his arms around Simeon waist and gave him a kiss. Simeon leaned into it like it was the last kiss he would ever have.
"Ew."
Luke had noticed the adults having a romantic moment, not that they were being subtle. Simeon got off Barbatos since they probably should have behaved better in public, however they could tease their son a little."
"Ew? Why "ew" Luke? Do you not like romance?"
"Romance is very nice Luke, I get to stay up late with Simeon and tell him Dad jokes. What do you call a cow with now legs?"
"Oh, I know this one! It's ground beef."
Luke looked at his fathers with great disappointment making them both laugh. Simeon reached over and pat Luke's head.
"We could tell more Luke."
Luke appeared absolutely appalled by the notion that there could be more. He covered his ears before they could tell any more and ran a little ways away.
"Noooooo"
Simeon and Barbatos laughed a little more before putting away the silverware. Siemon handed the forks to Barbatos and wondered if he sent them straight to the kitchens when they all disappeared from his hands. Simeon stared at Barbatos hands for a few moments since he wasn't wearing gloves at them moment. Barbatos pretended not to notice what Simeon was looking at but flexed his fingers to tease his angel.
"Simeon, my eyes are up here, angel."
Simeon placed his chin in Barbatos' hand and looked up at him like a wet puppy "I know."
Barbatos smiled and squished Simeon's cheeks before letting the angel go. Unfortunately that was not enough so Simeon wrapped himself around Barbatos for some cuddles. He checked on Luke. The boy had acquired a stick at some point and was talking to baby birds in the tree branches above. It was nothing to worry about, Luke already knew not to touch the birds. Barbatos hummed as he observed Luke as well.
"You think we should get going Dearest? We still have the last surprise."
"Mhm, let's go."
Simeon and Barbatos stood and the moment they stepped off the blanket it disappeared. Simeon was certainly going to ask about the spell to teleport things to and from home later, but for now they were going to wrap up the day with the last location. They approached their son and Simeon picked him up.
"We have one last place to go Luke."
"Really? Where are we going?"
Barbatos smiled knowingly "You'll see."
Barbatos took hold of Simeon's arm and teleported them right to the building. Luke looked up and his eyes widened in excitement. It was the baking expo he had been talking about for a while now. Simeon gently set Luke back down and Barbatos brushed off his clothes. Luke hugged both his parents with a big smile.
"Thank you!"
Simeon smiled, "You're welcome Luke."
They all entered the building holding hands. Simeon let go Luke's hand and let the boy lead. Luke got a little ahead but Barbatos kept a close eye on him. Simeon occasionally moved Luke out of the way of people not paying attention as they made their way to the first sets of stalls. Some books caught Lukes attention so he wasn't paying any particular attention to his dads. Simeon sneaked his hand around and grabbed Barbatos ass while Luke was looking at different cookbooks and examples of the cakes.
"Hm, I think this cake looks delicious."
Barbatos cleared his throat and moved Simeon's hand to the more appropriate area of his waist "You are a very naughty angel."
Simeon leaned in and whispered into Barbatos ear "then a good demon should punish me for my sins."
Luke turned around and suddenly the two men were acting as though they were looking at the cakes the whole time, minus Barbatos being rather pink in the face but the sun can be very impactful on the skin. Luke didn't catch onto anything since there was nothing for him to get as he held up a cook book.
"Isn't this the next one in the series you have in the Palace kitchens?"
Barbatos glanced at the cover and smiled at Luke "Yes, we don't have this one yet. We should get it."
Barbatos handed Luke some money and watched the little one pay for it himself. It was good to allow Luke to pay for things on his own and interact with customer service. Simeon stayed glued to Barbatos side. They wandered a little farther and Barbatos looked at some new measuring cups since the ones in the palace were getting a bit worn down. A cute set with little patterns caught his eye, mostly because he could tell at a glance that the paint was lead. Simeon caught the look and tried finding something hopefully leadless to get his demon.
Simeon found a cute set of green measuring cups that had the paint on the outside and didn't smell like lead to him. It was a shame that many had such paints on them but humans often made mistakes like that since they can't tell what's lead by a glance or smelling it. Simeon bought them and had them wrapped while Barbatos was intently observing some teacups. Simeon held onto it since he couldn't exactly make things disappear like Barbatos did. Barbatos did not pretend to not know what was inside and Simeon did not expect it to be a surprise since Barbatos knew everything, wrapping it and trying to be a little sneaky was just a curtesy really.
The family went through many different stalls before finally reaching the end. They had been to every stall at least once before having finished. Luke yawned and Barbatos picked him up to carry him. Simeon leaned on Barbatos and they teleported straight to purgatory hall. Simeon took Luke and headed down to his room. Barbatos stood in the doorway as Simeon tucked Luke into bed. The poor kid was so exhausted from their trip that he fell asleep immediately once he hit the pillow. Barbatos turned off the lights as Simeon neared the door. The nightlight was still on as they carefully closed the door. Simeon kissed Barbatos and handed him his gift now that they were home.
