Specifically, James Chillcott stated "The game has hit a plateau in terms of new player acquisition, with double digit growth in the late 2000s dropping significantly down into single digit territory over the last few years." This could simply mean that the game is still growing, just not as fast as it was Eight to Ten years ago, which isn't as alarmist as most predictions of the game dying, but is the only concrete quote I could find at the moment and is the one that inspired me to ask.

For starters that quote is just factually incorrect. We've had numerous double digit growth years since 2000.

Also, Magic has tripled (and maybe quadrupled) in size since ten years ago, so rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated. : )

Can I use Glorious End on someone before they can untap their lands on untap step, essentially getting a full second turn?

No.

Players don’t receive priority in the untap step ever.

The earliest in a turn that you can cast Glorious End is the upkeep step, so your opponent will have had the opportunity to untap their lands and can cast a instants or spells with flash in response to Glorious End.

I think I have seen you state a few times that magic has experienced it's 8th year of growth, but I am constantly seeing people say the game is in decline, especially compared to things about ten years ago. Which is true? And where can people go to get real, hard data on this subject or other facts like it?

Tell me what you're seeing so we can talk about it. The eighth straight year of growth is a fact. We're a public company (well, Hasbro is), you can check it out.

A friend of mine I introduced to Magic listened to your podcast on color wheel and she felt there isn't a real distinction between green's running on instinct and red's running on emotion, she submits that emotions are instinctual. How do you outline this?

Emotions and instincts are different things. Red and Green are Blue’s enemies because they oppose the intellectualness of Blue, but how they do it is different

Emotions are tied to psychology. They are how you feel about things. Instincts are tied to biology. It’s how your body reacts to stimuli. Red leans into how it feels to guide its decisions. Green listens to its internal biological messages to guide what it does.

I’m mad about something you did, so I punch you - Red.

I run away from a situation because something internal feels there’s danger - Green.

In general, humans are more guided by emotions and animals are more guided by instincts.
