Simin Sinbat
Reference to: The color Silver & Sinbad the Sailor
Semblance: [Hoard]
Hoard allow the user to imprint and store “information” into a coin format. “Information” being any sort of object, speech, or even the recorded information of an attack. Simin typically stores clusters of Dust into his favorite coins, using them as more compact units of Dust, but the ultimate utility of Hoard is in it’s mimic-like ability. When Simin flips a coin into an oncoming attack and activates Hoard, a copy of the action is stored inside the coin that can later be utilized with his weapon to imitate the attack in it’s full capacity with Aura filling in the “Blanks” of various parameters.
Weapon: [Seafarer Voyage] Is at it’s most basic, an oar with a slot on it’s face to store up to 3 coins. It can be pulled inward to shift it into a scimitar with a rectangular slot along the yalman to fire coins stored in it’s chamber at an angle. Coins fired from Seafarer Voyage are fired utilizing either the kinetic energy stored in them, or the elemental property of dust stored with an impact similar to the force of a bullet matching their size. A third-mode can only be activated by inserting a special silver “Polearm” coin in combination with a Water and Wind Dust coin, this form is known as “Tempest” and takes the form of a naginata that not only fires bullet-like jets of water from it’s recess, but also sweeps gale force winds outward on swings.
Character Bio Basics:
Simin translates to “silvery” in Persian.
Born on the ocean between the Atlas and Mistral coastlines.
Technically, his full name is Simin Sinbat the 5th
Family has been sailors of the open sea for over 4 generations prior, starting with Simin Sinbat the 1st.
All Sinbat men end up taking a “Voyage” that makes them notable faces in the naval community. Typically these voyages are grossly exaggerated tales of survival and sheer luck.
Simin’s age ranges between 17 and <21 depending on story an plot requirements.
Simin is the first Sinbat to activity show interest in being a Huntsman instead of just a sailor. Upon seeing the requirements to go to an academy however, Simin bailed out on the prospect.
Because of his age, Simin is currently on his “Voyage”
Depending on plot demands, Simin can be either a straight sailor-child, or a pirate.
Seafarer Voyage is a weapon Simin created himself and has self-taught himself how to use.
Simin owns a catamaran-styled boat. He wishes to upgrade eventually.
Simin will always fight a “Roc” or large bird at some point in any of his plot of a story. Note that “Bird” can be subjective and not a literal bird.
Simin actually loves treasure, like no joke. He would slam your hand in a door if it meant he could get to something shiny first. Hence his Semblance’s name and it’s basic function.
Depending on the story, and if he’s notably a pirate, Simin specializes in black market trading and whatnot for big easy money. How Simin acquires his goods is up to your assumption.
Simin keeps his most important coins in his coat pockets. They are strapped into little harnesses that prevent them from jingling around or out of his pocket. When traveling “Light” the coin storing his weapon and boat are among the two always on hand.
Personality: Above all else, Simin watches out for himself at all times. He may be young but he’s a young man who was raised on the sea. He knows his way around the art of a deal, with a slick silver-tongue and sharper wits than his age should allow. His fascination with wealth and collecting treasure and valuable contents makes him dubious in nearly any scenario where he stands to gain something by acting out. His innate face is that of someone who takes things as they come and with a smug smirking stride, feeling always in control of a situation despite the graveness of it. Even when he doesn’t have a plan, Simin puts his trust in his wit and hoard of treasure to get himself, and only himself, out of trouble.
Goals: Become the sea’s greatest sailor/pirate/merchant of all time.
Art by: Ergofish
And here’s another one! This is Simin the greedy sailor. He’s sort of my take on an opportunistic neutral-evil/chaotic-good archtype. His devil may care-ness is partly how I see the most fun black market scumlords done and I like the Han Soloness-aspect to being a smuggler/marketer who could maybe put his heart in the right place if he wanted to. Like all the other characters I’ve posted, please do not message my friend asking for commissions or requests. Thank you!
