SOMEWHERE SAFE FOR THE BROTHERHOOD MEMBERS
Being a member of the brotherhood was something to be proud of, Riley had always thought that from the very first moment when they offered Levi some revenge on those that had killed his father. Their end had been brutal and yet more kind than anything they should be able to receive, but Riley knew that it had made Levi feel powerful for once in his life, like his power was not that much of a curse after all. That was all that mattered and so it was no surprise that soon after, Riley followed him and became a member too.
Unfortunately his powers are not that devastating, at least not yet, not while he's still learning how to grasp it properly, so his role is limited to being behind the scenes, more of damage control if anything and that bothered him a lot. So, it was not surprise that he would feel resentful towards someone who could do so much more with their powers and simply just chose not to.
Simon was one of them, a powerful mutant with so much potential and yet, he decided to stick to helping with the plans instead of being right there at the center of the action, just like Riley wished to be. Maybe he was a little bitter, it did not matter, he would pick on the guy until he finally accepted the best role for him within the brotherhood, it was time to stop pretending to be someone they were not.
