So are you okay with Clair Obscur using AI?
NO, I'M NOT??? This article was just released 4 hours ago and I found out about it 10 minutes ago, who the hell are you???
Minus one victory lap for the J'RPG.

I'm upset and disappointed after finding out from a friend linking the article above, but like everything else that I do with my ethics, my personal stance is going to remain what it has always been: let it go once things change, which is all I can hope for right now. I hate that it was done, wish it hadn't been, but thankful it was rectified and that nothing genAI appears in the final game, all the work being from people's own hands.
If Sandfall makes another game using genAI to any degree with a verifiable source like this news did, I won't play it. If Sandfall takes this hit and never lets genAI touch their games again, I might play it depending on my interest in the game's story, as I would any other game or book or any other piece of media. This goes for if Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 gets a sequel too: if genAI was used then hell no. If genAI was not used, I'll gauge my interest in the story.
