Simple questions-
Please answer the following without resorting to jingoistic propoganda or the rote recital of things you accepted without questioning while in school. Do not use moralistic arguments that only apply specifically to your faith and beliefs. Do not regurgitate the talking points of a politician. Answer in your own words by using your own logical thoughts.
Why is it necessary to fly and display the U.S. flag in such abundance?
Why are children made to chant the Pledge of Allegiance daily?
Why is the flag code violated (and thus the flag desecrated) by using the flag in advertisements, apparel, and decorations? The colors of the flag can not be altered. The flag must not be flown in a manner that allows it to become easily soiled or damaged. No image of any kind may be placed upon the flag. All of these actual rules are routinely ignored.
Why does the U.S. hold itself exempt from international law and refuse to allow its citizens to appear before the International Court in The Hague when it demands that all others must obey?
Why are the police exempt from obeying the laws that apply to all citizens? Why are the police not held to the same standard as any other governmental institution?
The Constitution dictates a separation of church and state. Why is one religion allowed to impose its religious belief into law to ban abortion?
Why doesn't the United States abide by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (Resolution 217, 1948)?
Why does the electoral college still exist?
Why is school funding based upon the tax base of the community it serves, guaranteeing that poor neighborhoods will always have underfunded schools?
Why is gerrymandering still permitted?
Why is the US the only developed nation where justices to the highest court in the land are appointed for life?
If this is free market capitalism than how can a bank be "too big to fail'?
If this is actual capitalism how can any business claim that it's unable to pay a living wage? Under capitalism, if you can't complete your MUST be allowed to fail.
If taxes are something that only democrats impose, than why did the highest tax rate on the wealthiest group happen under the Republican president Dwight D Eisenhower?
If ANY restriction on firearms will result in the banning of ALL firearms, how does anyone still have guns since the National Firearms Act of 1934 is still in place?
How does denying the rights of people to self-identify make sense in the "Land of the Free"?
How do you justify calling this the "Greatest Country on Earth when we have 47 million citizens living in poverty, 350,000+ homeless, 1 in 4 children going hungry daily, more citizens in the prison system than in any other country on Earth, racism, misogyny, bigotry, and the majority of the population existing in a state of wage/debt slavery?
If the country is so great and your faith so strong, why does any criticism cause angry and vitriolic defensiveness? Why do simple questions about apparent flaws enrage you?
Defend, with actual facts (with citations) your claim of "Greatest Country on Earth". Please coherently and effectively present your case.
How, in the absence of facts and without using critical thought, have you reached your beliefs? The leaders you worship blatantly lie. Please illustrate, with vetted data, this notion of "Promises made, promises kept."
If you don't understand the constitution at all, and support the denial of due process whenever the government decides it isn't needed, how do you even know what "freedom" even is?
These are all fairly simple questions, but asking any of them in the US is labeled unpatriotic. We are trained from a very young age to obedience. Submit to authorities. Accept what the government/church/police tell you. Half of what is done by authority violates the spirit, if not the actual words, of the Constitution.
Too many people think that it's patriotic to blindly follow orders. If you can't defend and explain your beliefs, you don't have beliefs. You are simply repeating the propaganda with which you were groomed.
