This girl was a challenge still to think about. I’m not the biggest Ann fan, and that bites me in the ass a lot. But, I think this somewhat helped with that. It at least gave me more to pull from, I suppose. But, nothing’s solid, I’m not sold on anything, so don’t be shocked if I come back at some point and refresh these.
Ann Takamaki is probably my roughest one to think about. She just doesn’t give a lot of thoughts.
That being said, I have chewed on her more, and I do think she’s pretty firmly a lesbian.
She’s not really a man hater like Ulala might be, but she obviously doesn’t trust them.
She’s also, obviously, not a very sexual person.
Every group has some potential for sexual energy. It’s a pack of teenagers, puberty is high, experience is low, all that. But, I think compared to Ryuji, Eikichi, or Lisa, Ann just doesn’t have a high interest in that side of puberty.
Which, is very fair, considering she’s a curvier girl, a model, and everything about her is just, bombarding her with sexy content. So she’s probably the most chill of her group.
On a personality, side, Ann is confidently feminine. Sort of a legally blonde, shameless in her body, even if she’s not that interested in physical intimacy.
In short, she fully dresses for herself, and isn’t ashamed if she’s considered ‘sexy’ to others.
And, if you complain, or get handsy, she will beat the shit out of you.
Ann probably has the fashion knowledge to somewhat Sherlock Holmes your ass.
I also like to light-heartedly headcanon that she’s Lisa Silverman’s daughter, which only means that if she beats you into a pulp, she will know how to do so with the brutality of a boxer and the cruelty of an angry, unstable cult leader. Because, all of the persona 2 group is gonna have a hand in raising her.
Despite that, though, Ann is very sweet still. She’s compassionate, empathetic, and protective of others.
Her time as a phantom thief really taught her to be mindful of what others are going through, and that sometimes you just need to give them a helping hand.
She very much vibes as a no-kids type of auntie too. Like, Katsuya might have a kid, and Ann will dote and love on them, but she herself isn’t a fan of being a parent out of, like, paranoia or something.
