🐝 PHOTO 44 🐝 National Bee Day 🐝 Many many of you will know I have a little bit of a thing about bees..... today is National Bee Day and while having the roots banished I stumbled across this in @simplethingsmag 🐝 I’m not sure what it is about the bee that I love, but part of it is how they work almost tirelessly for their colony, each bee having a role 🐝 At last years #surbitonfestival we got to see just what happens inside a beehive and it completely amazed me. The protection they give to their queen and the constant working going on, literally a ‘hive of activity’ 🐝 And what’s really sad is that they are so much at risk of endangerment. With industrial farming and the destruction of bee friendly flowers and plants, bees are so much in decline.
