"Why are you encouraging all this talk of one night stands?"
"Live a little, sweetheart." Tahno chuckled.
"I just have a blast feeding the zoo animals, don’t you?”

Despite how it looked from an outsider's perspective, there were parts of Lin's job that were incredibly boring.
She hadn't expected it, when she was appointed chief, although she should have, She had helped with most of her mother's paperwork for most of her own career. But still. She hadn't expected so little of her job to be chasing down bad guys, and so much of it to be filling out paperwork associated with catching them.
Today was one of the boring parts. And, probably, more difficult parts. Today, she decided the fate of a decades-long relationship with Future Industries, and felt guilty that she couldn't just decide to keep their deal and be done with it. There were things to consider - the city had so little faith in her (so she felt), and so little respect for the company anymore.
She genuinely didn't know which reputation was more important. If her own was worth keeping alive.
So she sat in the little sitting area outside Miss Sato's office, completely unprepared for this discussion, and hoping Asami had a convincing enough argument to make this easier on both of them.

"Mimi! Your room’s down the damn hall. Mine." He snapped, shoving his sister off the bed.
((I owe many people, I know, but due to work I'll be traveling and such, so for the next four days please excuse my EXTREME lateness :c I know some of you have been waiting weeks for replies and that's unacceptable. I'll try to do some damage in my down time, but during the day I won't be super duper alive.
Thanks so much for being patient c: I'll make all of my replies nice and long to make up for the wait!!))
OOC: Semi hiatus type thing I guess?
I'm trying to move across the state, so I'm busy packing and getting all my shit together for school right now. And finishing up the last few days of my horrible job.
So there will be nights I'm really active, and then I'll vanish for days, at least until I get settled at my new place.
I have all the replies I know of drafted. They'll be really slow. These replies are for:

Let me know if I've missed you. I also have lots of asks I'll try and catch up on later.
So I'm on a sort of half-hiatus in that I'm not fully active, but I'll poke my head in every now and then and say hi.

Bolin was not exactly sure how he found himself at the Headquarters of Future Industries. With no Probending practice to go to and no kids to babysit (not tonight), he'd wandered into the city after lunch on Air Temple Island to do something with himself. Normally, this combination, a bored teenager with nothing to do other than wander, would be a recipie for mischeif.
But Bolin was not really like most teenagers his age--he was not, strictly speaking, prone to mischief. It, if he was involved at all, found him. He did not go looking for trouble--instincts from days on the street when looking for trouble meant gaining attention and attention almost always ended in orphanages, foster care, or prison. These were three places Mako was determined to keep the two boys out of, so Bolin learned at an early age to keep his nose clean least the cops come and separate him from his brother.
So Bolin wandered the city. He wandered to the market and tasted the free samples (sharing with Pabu of course). He climbed the fire escape of the building across from Police HQ and watched the Metalbenders zip by on the wires that criss-crossed the city. When he got bored with that, he set his feet towards Roku Bridge and somehow got detoured into the city center.
And when he'd looked around after some aimless wandering, he found the sun was sinking in the sky and the fact that he was smack in front of Future Industries HQ.
Bolin had not seen Asami in weeks. Ever since her father had been thrown in jail and she had been instated as CEO, she had been too busy to hang out. Bolin, at the time, had been too busy trying to repair the shambles that was the Fire Ferrets after Mako and Korra's sudden and swift departure, so he had not noticed her disappearance that much. But ever since the Fire Ferrets had lost the tournament, and Bolin had been left with endless time to twiddle this thumbs, he'd begun to wonder about her.
So he decided, then and there, that he was going to visit Asami. He climbed the stairs into the building, and was met with a frowning receptionist.
"Hi, uh," Bolin stammered, suddenly nervous. "I'd um...I wondered if...Is Asami in? I'm her friend and I'd...I wondered if she was still here."
