//Slowly Rising From the Dead
//So....it's been too long! I am slowly, ever so slowly, coming back. I have a lot going on with my personal life (nothing bad, all good!) but I miss this blog and I miss my friends.
Also, I want to tip my hat to the Korrasami shippers. I didn't see it coming but I love Asami and if I am 100% honest, Korra is the best partner for her at the end of Book 4 <3
" Lin, have I told you how beautiful you are today? Because you are." Saikhan stepped up to where she was standing off to the side of the party, two glasses of champagne in hand. He held one out to her with a smile before leaning in to brush a kiss to her lips gently. "How are you doing?"
Lin couldn't help the flush that touched her cheeks when he complimented her, or the grin that spread across her face as she leaned into the kiss, fingers closing around the champagne glass.
"Alright, considering." Considering she was at a reception she had tried to escape from, before a certain younger sister dragged her back. "How about you? Enjoy the buffet?"
[3:25:46 PM] Mama Lin Baefong: your Sai is canon until proven otherwise
[3:25:47 PM] Mama Lin Baefong: which it won't be
[3:25:56 PM] Lex: nope
[3:26:04 PM] Lex: we'll never see him again and I am okay with that
[3:26:08 PM] Mama Lin Baefong: unless Kuvria pulls off a mask and was Sai all along
[3:26:11 PM] Lex: oh my god
[3:26:17 PM] Lex: plot twist
[3:26:20 PM] Lex: everyone is Saikhan
[3:26:23 PM] Lex: all the villains
[3:26:24 PM] Lex: are Saikhan
[3:26:31 PM] Lex: 'who's the worst chief ever NOW'
[3:26:42 PM] Mama Lin Baefong: "OLD MAN SAIKHAN?" "And I would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for you meddling Beifongs!!"
" Lin, I drew you a bath and here," He handed her a glass of baiju. " I can join you, or I can distract your family while you take your bath, it's up to you."
"You know, I think they can handle themselves out here." Even though, as she spoke, she heard a, 'boys, stop fighting, I swear to Hei Bai I will tie you to Aunt Lin's sofa!'
"Hurry, come join me in the bath before they drag us into this."
you may well have already thought of this, but given the events of the new episode I'd like to see you and saikhantheloyal do an rp set months or a few years earlier in the storyline where lin goes into more detail over her rift with Toph... maybe more from saikhan on the issues with his mother as well
I'll def talk to saikhantheloyal about that
Because there's also a matter of addressing the resentment Lin held towards a young Sai since Toph was actually a decent mother to him
and at one point years later (after they're already dating even) she snaps at him for it and he has to face the fact that one of his heroes hurt Lin and that is an unforgiveable sin in his eyes and there's conflict there and comfort as they bond over their shitty mothers and there are probably cuddles and tears
and yeah
we need to do this rp bless u anon
saikhantheloyal started following you
"Saikhan!" Jing offered a warm smile as he speed walked over to the captain, an Apple Pie held carefully in both of his hands. "It's so wonderful to have you here in the city. I'm Councilman Jing, and this..." He looked down at the dessert. "Is your pie!"
" Lin-" He stopped in the doorway between the kitchen and the living room, a brow arcing at the sight of her sitting rather stiffly on the couch, still in her armor. He would have just shrugged it off, but he noticed the familiar haze of pain in her eyes, and that set to her mouth that showed it was a lot worse than it seemed. He strode forward and took a seat next to her, and with a gentle twist of his wrist began to bend off her uniform.
She actually hadn't registered that Saikhan was there until her uniform was coming off, and she sighed with the relief of the weight lifted off of aching joints. She probably could have taken the time to bend it off herself before she sat down, but it just seemed like too much to stand for even another second.
"Hey, Sai." She murmured, with a weak smile. "Sorry I'm home a little late. Today was... Awful."
