#sims 2 problem

Have another Linux based question. I screwed up or something went funky when I installed clean installer. And now I can't reinstall cause it's doing that thing where it thinks there's already a version installed but it can't uninstall cause it tried to uninstall before... on Windows I know you can edit the registry to fully remove the bits of clean installer it's seeing, but either I'm not looking in the right place or something else is going on cause I can't see the particular registries listed in regedit

Anyone have any idea what's going on? Or know how I can fully get rid of clean installer on Linux?

Audio Issues on Linux?

Hey! So the game has been running beautifully so far, I highly highly doubt it would be doing so well on this laptop if it was running on windows, but there has been one issue that has cropped up.

Normally the game always throws audio errors, used to seeing that in logs etc. but never actually hear anything off (outside of music just cutting off or something). However, either cause of computer or linux or it being osab's pack (have UC installed on the main), the audio goes *mental*. Music speeds up, tripping over itself, voices start glitching out and hiccuping. It's fine for about half an hour to an hour then the music goes, and I'm usually fine to just have the music muted for awhile but eventually the voices go too and that's when it just kinda becomes an auditory mess and deeply unpleasant to play for much longer haha

Hi Neko, I seem to have a problem in my game. One of my houses has a bright purple roof. It doesn't seem like the memory leak because it's just the one house, and it isn't flashing. I guess it could be Moi's roof shader, although it's just one house. Maybe I was only supposed to download one of Moi's shaders? I downloaded both the colouration one and the envcube ss one. Or could it be conflicting with Phaenoh's roof trim default? Thank you for the insight ^^;

Hmm, I’m sorry, I have no idea D: I don’t use a roof shader, not Moi’s or anybody’s.

I think maybe the best thing to do would be to remove the roof and see if it’s still purple? if it is, it could mean the lot is corrupted, but I’ve never come across this problem, so I can’t be sure, sorry! 

Anybody has any idea what’s going on for Nonny-san?

Was screwing around trying to back up my computer and managed to remove my neighborhoods from the game. *grumble grumble* hope it's just an easy fix.

Sims 2 & windows 1709

I was trying to casually play my sims 2 today, but encountered a problem involving crashing and flashing pink objects. I found out that this has occurred to many other players too lately after the windows fall update 1709. (See leefish, modthesims forums and official forums for instance)

I maybe found a solution, I'll have to do more thorough testing tomorrow and a better post, but wanted to post this out before heading to sleep if it can help someone else. I played a vanilla game without any hacks or cc for 45 minutes without crashing or flashing pink.

I have UC from origin which I updated and repaired files (didn't reinstall). I also performed a clean install of my graphics drivers with DDU in safe mode for my amd Radeon r9 390. I use no-cd patch to avoid origin. I made new graphics rules with graphics rules maker, cff explorer thing for the exe and Data execution prevention. Lastly, I re-installed directx9. Oh and I always play in windowed mode.

When I first started the game today, it told me that it couldn't find dx9 or compatible video card. That confused me as I've previously (before the windows 10 update) played the game perfectly.

Hopefully this will help someone struggling with the same problem!

Hi, does anyone know how this might have happened? 

I don’t know if it is a mesh problem or a glitch. I have tried Google but I am not getting much luck.

The sim, Alfred, looks like this whenever he has a shower or gets naked. It also only happened once he aged into an elder. 

I thought the issue was with the custom skin tone the sim uses (his meant to be green) but I have just removed the skin from the downloads, booted up the same, and nothings changed. 

If nothing else, does anyone think this will turn into a major issue for my game?

Sims 2,3,4 Problems

I hate it when the Sims 2 decor and furniture looks like the Sims 4 decor and furniture and then the Sims 4 clothing and hair looks like the Sims 3 clothing and hair. On top of it all  no one really wants to convert the Sims 4 hair for the Sims 3. But they want to convert the Sims 3 hair into the sims 4. What!

Ok, so I have this weird issue happening on one lot, and figured maybe someone on here knows what's going on.

I've been decorating this large lot and everything was going well until recently, when I enter the lot and the natural ground cover now looks like this.  The game treats it like it's the natural terrain, so I have to paint over it every time I enter.  Any ideas?  I have installed a bunch of stuff recently, though I think the only possible perpetrator might be the castaway build mode stuff I added in.
