Just got the rare wish to play, did some things and then got stuck on an infinite loading screen, as per usual… EA really wants their players to close their pc after 5 minutes of playtime huh.
Had to just close the game and put my laptop away to take a breather :)
Noticing myself drifting from the sims with how I no longer post any gameplay of any sims games :/
Sims 4 was my all time fav game but I feel so dissapointed by it rn so I am leaning towards my fun indie games (fields of mistria, paralives, chef rpg, town to city, tiny glade, stardew and many many more fun games that actually work.) and playing some of my backlog of fantasy rpgs (skyrim and avowed and more but i am not there yet lol).
I'll still love seeing other peoples gameplay, sharing what they create, but I think for the time being im kinda done with the sims. Forever in my heart but I am kinda moving on. which is so sad I am only on gen 6/7 (hehehe) of my legacy that I have been playing since 2019, but I have no motivation to play or continue their stories at alllll. Maybe in the future aka a few months from now , I will go back to actually playiing the games.
Butttt I will most definitely still be reblogging cc finds, its like shopping, I don't think I will ever be able to stop.
With all that being said, more random gameplay pics of games I am actuallly playing rn incoming . B)
Oh and after spending some time playing other, newer life sims as well as recently having rediscovered my love for Sims 2, I think I realised why sims 4 is often on my last nerve and there's actually multiple reasons.
For one, they're just...doing too much. I don't know how to describe it, but both inzoi and paralives have lovely animations (as does sims 2, actually). And yes, they don't take themselves too seriously either, but they allow themselves some sincerety, which just isn't really a thing in sims 4 anymore. I miss the small sincereties between the silliness. Sims 4 is 90% silly, 10% 'oh damn that was actually cute'. At the same time, there's just the little sprinkles of je ne sais quoi that are missing. Like being able to water houseplants, the zoi's automatically using a hair dryer after a shower, sims actually using the cupboards to get utensils out, the sim children happily running to their parents after getting a good grade and just the overall love by the team sprinkled into the game. You know, stuff that isn't strictly necessary but shows that someone was paying attention. Enough to be like 'hihi, I'm gonna do this. It's dumb but I want to'. Even paralives, which is still really bare bones, is already showing signs of this which is partially why it reminds me so much of how it felt to play sims 2.
sims 4
so I love sims four and everything about it but I feel like sims four should definitely add more mental disorders you know to make it a little more realistic especially for like people who play on playstation ( i play a playstation) like they already have kleptomaniac on there why not put like pyromaniac and aichmomaniacs or sociopath and psychopath
cause, I feel like it would be cool and a sight into the mental disorders and stuff that some people do
On the low key I really just want to make pyromaniac character so We could be out here causing chaos
This post is not to make fun of any body with mental or Psychological disorders or illnesses
Something I don't understand is WHY The Sims Team decided to make a 'turn autonomy for all infant/toddler care off for everyone' button in the game options, which means all interactions with infant/toddler need to be done manually by every single Sim. Doing it this way means: 1. Infants/toddlers are more likely to get neglected, especially in large households where the player controls a lot of Sims who may not be able to care for the infant/toddler. You are more likely to get the child taken away. 2. Sims with traits where the caregiving autonomy is more active become functionally useless (Family Oriented, Good), which makes them suffer the same issues Hates Children and Evil do presently. All they had to do was slot a blacklist flag into the autonomy for those with relevant traits, making it so that a select few Sims lack the caregiver autonomy. The issue of 'parents fighting over caregiving' is because every single Sim behaves almost identically, because their traits do not impact certain elements of the game. Doing it my way means: 1. Infants/toddlers will still obtain care from at least one parent autonomously, which means neglect is far less likely. (Let's say I expanded Hates Children tweaks to Evil and Mean. That will make 3 potential Sim types that will not 'fight to care' for the infant/toddler.) 2. Sims with caregiving traits are more useful. (They care for infants/toddlers better than those without Family Oriented or Good traits.) 3. Sims with negative traits are more interesting to live with. (They cause drama and make the lives of everyone else harder.) 4. It's more realistic and fun to have diverse parenting/families than to just make everyone an amazing parent who loves their family. So this latest Sims update is again providing a so-called "broad-stroke solution" to a problem that has existed since the game was released over a decade ago, and actually requires intricate work from the ground up to fix.
so anyway. too many ppl in the sims community are comfortable using generative ai for their cc and machinima content. lots of things going on as far as people admitting they use it but. it's a whole other level when your entire machinima is written and directed by chatgpt and nobody knows. LMAO imagine that. TITLE AND ALL, btw. title, plot, character tropes, backgrounds. unbelievable. some of ya'll are really strange.
I keep seeing new cc to add to my game 😔 I don't think my laptop will survive this anymore 😭 my cc greed is eternal... I totally like need to delete some I don't even use or maybe delete everything and start anew but it would be a pain to redownload my fave cc again
