Back to my sort-of Medieval Charter Challenge, and here we have the peasant Feathers family, single father Brent and his daughter Jemima.

They're poulterers and have some chickens and ducks.

Brent's immediate thoughts turned to matrimony, as his toddler really needed a mother figure. Theodosia Day from the Almshouse showed a lot of interest in little Jemima. However it is single peasant mother Rosemary Wilde who has grabbed Brent's attention.

A sudden freak lightning bolt did nothing but cause a greater spark between them!

And so, to make an honest woman of her, and because their foraging business is very successful, Brent and Jemima moved into the Wilde household and took Rosemary's name.

Now that's one busy 2-room hovel! Next time we'll meet the peasant Farmer family.

Today in the Medieval Charter Challenge, we have the peasant Farmer family! Mother and father Pepper and Giles, with children Julienne, Spud and Edward.

Julienne is so cute and one of my favourite sims. She's really great with her younger siblings, and has taken a liking to Birch Wilde.

I'm patiently waiting for all their crops to grow, as aside from selling a few apples we're not making much money currently...

We're back at the Medieval Charter Challenge, with our last Peasant household, hay farmers the Hayes, consisting of father and son duo Linseed and Bram. This was an extremely boring household of just waiting for hay to grow for harvest, so I only have a few photos from their first day or two mostly with other sims in, and no close ups of their faces even! 🤭

Here's old man Linseed cutting a rug with local Almshouse resident Lucilla Reed, while young Bram tries it on with her housemate Lyn Harrison. However, it seems the ladies have other plans!

Cheeky young Rowan Wilde finds this development hilarious.

Heir to the only Gentry class family, Darwin Squire should know better than to fool around with such riff-raff. But while her mother Wintour isn't around, Darwin acts like any silly adolescent might.

Meanwhile, Bram thinks making an acquaintence of local good warlock Henrik Lachford might prove fruitful.

Back home and Bram is off to try and earn a living while waiting for the harvest to come in. He works in the Cooking career as a Sculion, whatever that means. Lucky guy gets picked up by a lady on a horse!

And finally, Linseed seems to have eyes for yeoman Queenie Hive, with a match in mind to help better himself and his son I'm sure. If he thinks she's wealthy though, he better think again... Next time I'll be properly introducing our last family, the gentry Squire's.

The last starting family from my Medieval Charter Challenge - gentry family the Squires!

Blonde Darwin Squire is the heir, and brunette Selby Squire second born. That's the Castle Steward, Dominic Steward, in the background.

Then Darcy Squire and Millais Squire. This family is beautiful.

Mother Wintour Squire is often found scoping out the eligible bachelors of the Barracks for her girls - well, the yeomans and peasants surrounding them aren't exactly going to do!

Unfortunately Darwin isn't easy to impress (something the Captain of Arms is trying to educate his young charge Flynn Davison on). And Richard Young is finding Wintour herself a more interesting match!

"So... nice waistcoat, Richard." Second-born Selby is easier to please than her haughty sister.

Now the men awkwardly stand around and listen to Selby rock out while Darwin lies bored on the sofa.

Darcy finds this houseful of men overwhelming... Life is simpler as a toddler, eh Millais?

Sims 2 MCC/Warwickshire Challenge

I have a hankerin' to start/flesh out some medieval hoods and I can't seem to find an accessible version of the Warwickshire Challenge rules! The original MTS post is full of dead links. I'd love to dig into a challenge with very specific rules and constraints -- and I'm definitely in no way influenced by that lady on TikTok with her Sims 4 colonial challenge where her poor kids keep dying of consumption.
