DEP Works for the Legacy Collection!

I was naïve to think that all my problems would be solved with the Legacy Collection, but that wasn’t the case.

When I was playing on big lots with many objects — for example, this makeover of Sim Lane 165 by @katatty — my game would suddenly crash.

PS: @katatty , your creations are gorgeous! I really admire your work!

So, I tried removing the game’s executable from the DEP, and it worked! Now, I can play on the lot for hours without the game crashing.

If you want to remove the executable from DEP, follow these steps:

1. Control Panel > System and Security > System

2. Advanced system settings (on the left)

3. Go to the Advanced tab > Performance: Settings

4. Click on the Data Execution Prevention (DEP) tab

5. Select Turn on DEP for all programs except those I select

6. Add/Remove the executable (.exe)

7. Apply > OK

8. Restart the computer

This should do the trick!

Taking walls and windows down in an apartment..SOLVED :)

Is there a way of taking down walls and windows in a apartment...I have never played the apartments in the bin or otherwise...and found that I can’t take down a closet that is built like a wall..I hate those..I just want a dresser in there..here is a picture of that closet

Shadow issue

I have a lot of sims2 plants cc that had such large shadows I find them unusable, I am looking for a tutorial to help me fix this if anyone has any ideas

Uberhood problems

The Students household (Emil Lee and Tami Freshe) in the Viper Canyon Uberhood (by the wonderful @sushigal007) seemed to be causing some problems in my game. Any time I tried to save, “the application has crashed, the application will now terminate”. I thought it was the lot I put them in, so I threw them into the simbin, but now they can’t leave the simbin, as moving them into any house means the game would need to save, which the game is super reluctant to do. I really wanted to play Emil so he can grow up into a real adult and live happily ever after with Leona... But that is not happening right now. I went in and checked if this not being able to save thing has affected other households in the hood - and indeed, any attempt to save results in game explosion. I was just wondering has this happened to anyone else? And how did you fix it?

Can anyone suggest why is can’t get base game object recolours to show up in my game?

Premade Sims for Download

Where can I download all the premade families and bin sims? I had them all before. Maxis Taste Dare is missing a few families, and Mara has them all uploaded in lots, and I want them to show up in Bodyshop.

Google isn’t helpful. Does anyone have any ideas?

No more BaCC: Eversong Bay?

You might have noticed I haven't been posting that much of Eversong Bay (I ran out of pictures in the qeueu); The reason is I can't get The Sims 2 to work; I've tried everything, but the process only appears for about 2 seconds and doesn't run. I might do some Sims 3 once in a while, or play my free CC full-screen game, which works sometimes, but ill probably keep playing WoW , although I really wanted to make some Halloween shoots with premades :'(

If anyone's had this problem and got it fixed, please let me know (It's the Ultimate Collection, but it worked for me before; I think the only thing I've changed is the language)
