Laptop Suggestions

I’m saving up to buy a new laptop. or desktop. I think I would prefer a laptop though. Right now, I just have a low end Dell laptop which does the job and plays the sims but tends to get laggy if I have the settings too high. 

I want a laptop that will allow me to play the sims 4 with all settings on high with no lag. Or should I just look into getting a desktop? I already have a good monitor so I wouldn’t have to buy that. So any suggestions?
