Posting this from several weeks ago - I was randomly given a book full of loom knitting how-to's that had a whole section on making color and texture patterns, something I haven't learned yet. Of course the one I wanted to learn was the most difficult in the book, it's a "Simulated Basket Weave". This is a 3 section test piece. Section 1 wound up being plus signs for some reason, but by 2 and 3 I was getting the hang of it.
